(IIT-Madras Trip) ®

0comments
Just as i promised , i am writing about our chennai trip !

Legal terms
for reading further.

'our' henceforth refers to the following clients - "Deepak Chaitanya, Phani Challa, Ganesh G, Arun S, and Karthik Racha. Any references to this article outside the blog will be prosecuted .
Our clients have performed activities spanning 5 days , in a land where people speak a foreign language. Their adventures began on a strangely normal day, just like today....

Phani: yo man. Just checked out the IIT site. There's Shaastra from 1st Oct to 4th Oct.
someone: Cool man, will we go there ?
Phani: Why not, just let me check out ....

And these were the statements that created history, as these 5 enterprising young men went to Hollywood IIT M , attended workshops, and acted in a documentary. This is their story ...

Original Plan : Phani,Deepak, Ganesh,Arun.Karthik + Kashyap ( he's my IMS friend)
Actual thing : Phani,Deepak, Ganesh,Arun.Karthik

Original Accomodation : 100 /- per person for 5 days @ IIT hostel
Actual thing: Beautiful moon lit sky and night stars + 5 ppl cramped in my IIT M friend Manish's room .(Access from the backgate , with bonus mosquitoes and a beautiful display of firecrackers )

Journey : By Charminar express - 2760 on 1st Oct, 2009.
Enroute , we got into a bus, got down the running bus with our luggage
[arun's trolley, my suntech day bag, Ganesh + Racha + Deepak s Liviyas'. ]

Got into the train at 7.oo pm. Not particularly cold , but it was fresh. Got in. The compartment had 2 other occupants, one north indian and one ( probably) tamil guy.

Arun started scaring them off, with his adventure. He started with the car-scene at Sri Indu and went into Medival history as far as Bharat's village adventure . Good thing they were not complaining !

After a few photos of us here and there , and we were ready to enjoy the night ride. We started scrambling for window seats n stuff, and someone took out edibles [snacks, mind you] .
We were still eating when Warangal arrived, and Racha Racha's ( scientific name for IT karthik)
parents came. Mom bought some home made cakes [ awesome .....] , few water bottles, and the train left shortly thereafter.

From then on, there was no looking back. We were speeding our way to the AP-TN border , crossing the huge expanses of blackness. It was pitch black, and we didnt have stuff to talk or discuss on.

So what did we do ? ha ha. Look ,let me give a hint. I m very new to card games, courtesy the Chennai trip ! Thats what we did ! Pulled out a blanket, spread it on the upper berth, and started playing . I learnt the game slowly, unable to win a single game that night ! I had several close calls though.

As the night crept over, the familiar feeling of sleep crept over us, and one by one, the wickets started falling [ actualy, arun was the first to fall , and myself the next ]. I found out later that the rest of them were near the door, enjoying the night ! [ really ? i thought something else ;) ]

That ended our Day 0 of the chennai trip !!!! No way. That night, at almost 12.00 , we reached Vijayawada. The train halted there for a considerable amount of time, and we got doen to take some pics ... after that, we really slept.

the joy of blogging @ 12 am

0comments
Hi everyone.

You probably guessed that this punk is awake at night again ! But you couldn't be more right or wrong ! Paradoxically, i m burning midnight oil ( laptop battery rather !) for studying.

You heard me right ! Studying. I am doing it coz i have lots of competitions ending on OCT 31st , including, but not limited to Aspirations 2020 from Infosys ,Tgmc from IBM and 'thecloudapp ' contest from Microsoft.

Speaking of IBM and Microsoft, gotta say some gud news. I got certified in IBM DB2 fundamentals last week, with a percentage of 90.63 % . And of Microsoft, I got selected as a microsoft student partner (MSP). And as a part of this MSP program, i have decided to resurrect my old blog ... phantomphani.blogspot.com

Lots of things going on in life.. but life's going even faster. I would not count myself as one of those countless people floating away into nothingness, ever blaming all on time or rather, the lack of it.

I hope [ once again, it is a hope] that 2012 comes faster ( the movie of course :p ).
If the pot bellied buddha could bring gud luck , so can my lucky hat !

And oh no. I totally forgot to write about my trip to IIT Madras, right ! Well i had a trip at last to IIT M on the 1st of oct. I went there along with 4 of my buddies, Ganesh, Deepak, Karthik and Arun.

My next blog is gonna be entirely of my days spent there ! And right now, the time is really 15 min past 12 am !

Birthday ;)

0comments
Hi .
Tomorrow's my birthday ! turning 21 on the 20th ! Seems strange isn't it , that year after year, we keep on celebrating these "special" days. For some insight, lets draw up a hypothetical situation / debate on the underlying social structure and mechanics of special days

Why ? Why Birthdays ? Why festivals ? Why Special Occasions .? Why at all ?

When you start living life routinely, a sense of dullness sets into place, one which - if unchecked, leads to the dampening of the human spirit and vigor. It is an inevitable situation, unless the person concerned has some hyperactivity disorders.

How does the normal dude deal with all these ! If he finds even the Deccan Chronicle (smug expression) abstract, then how will he perceive the higher planes of social behavior.

Well, there's the wonderful system that induces the feeling of wellness and freedom, apart from the huge doses of happiness and interaction. This is the human way of "rejoicing". The way to escape from that all pervasive dreadfulness called boredom.

As long as there's anything happening out of the ordinary, there's a reason to celebrate. For example (i m sick of these examples), when we score well in exams, we do tend to "celebrate" .
If we didn't , it would push us into the category of , as my friend seriously (to those who can understand) calls" geeks" .

Now, enough of digression, let us reposition/ refocus the discussion on the particular issue of Birthdays.

These are days that you spend with your family, cherishing memories of childhood and in the process of doing this, strengthen the foundations of trust and care that are essential for a family.
Whatever may be the day, it does induce a special feeling, of being ALIVE , of being with people whom you trust, whom you depended on, and those very people on whom your survival was guaranteed !

whoa ! Registered for the CAT

0comments
Well, ppl..

Finally registered for the CAT . But you thought it was an uneventful process , didnt you ?

Nothing like that ! We went to the Axis Bank Branch ,Tarnaka ( barely 10 mins from home) at 9.30. Stunned that around 150 wannabe managers were in queue, holding out duly filled forms .. we ( i and 3 of my buddies) silently stood in the queue, almost at the last.

Apparently, the bank authorities thought it was a waste of time to have a single counter, and luckily for us, started another counter at the rear of the queue ..[ -->> 3 places away from me <<-- yay yay]

Lucky .. We took our forms, and i resolved i'd work hard for it ! Lets see ...
IIM A -- Will it be there ?

this is what happened ! stupid !

0comments
well, i got up from the stupid floor... i just fell down ... from the stupid bed !! stupid stupid world ! Round from the ground ! I tried to open the door.. but it wouldn't budge.. I looked around .. Everything was looking normal, except the fact that i had no legs !! Aaargh... it was a dream,
so lucid and realistic , i thought it was for real.

That was the start of the day ! Got into the bed again, draped the covers , and hey.. had a great sleep that lasted for hours (or so i felt). I woke up again, determined not to sleep, and quickly put the brush in my mouth just in case..

Switched on my lappy, put some algorithm courseware for download, and started CAT prep for today! Barely managed to do an RC , and got ready. 6.50 am. Started for JBS . Got into a 290 , and got down at Sec-Bad station to get an empty seat !

Finally, after a lot of waiting ( and soul searching whether i had to force myself to do this daily) , a 279 turned up ! After 2 continuous minutes of people "flowing "from the bus, i got my seat, and opened my book. Within a few min, we were at JBS. The conductor got down, but the driver slowly came to me and said ... " Dude, this is a Ladies Special "

Got down from the stupid bus, cursing my stupid luck , [ But hey, there's a reason for everything ..as you will shortly see ] .. Waited for another 10 min, and got a seat in the second 279. And guess what, Vinay was running towards the bus.

Opened my books again, and started reading for sometime till the dude drooled over my books... Had to close them and opened the window for some fresh air !

We got into an auto as usual, but the stupid auto driver wouldn't start. There were 7 of us in the small auto thingy and he was still not going. Just then , an RTC bus came and 4 of the dudes jumped into it ! Should have seen the driver fellow's face then..

One poor fellow was asking directions, and he forcibly got that guy into the auto and started driving ! I guess he must have stranded that guy halfway somewhere ...

<--- What is the moral of the intro ----->

Abstractness and existentialism are not too "deviant" from the incident i covertly suggested up there !

The greed of the auto driver, and his subsequent rage at the instant breach of trust, and the ease with which the guys deserted their former mode of transport , and the subsequent use of "literature" by the driver .. all suggest the deep rooted feelings of existentialism ! Live the moment .. Dont try to save things up for the future..

Abstractness, ..---<> End of Transmission..

hi guys,

My communication skills have taken a huge leap since my first year of engineering. Remember me, the shy guy who never even turned his head, was always serious faced except with a a select few, and never spoke to anyone ... Well, i myself remember it vaguely.

I have changed, , partly because of necessity, and partly for self analysis. I came to realize that, atleast in engineering, you cant do certain things alone, and need to interact with people. It was often "help others and get helped" motto that kept me moving in the first !

But slowly, when i started my introspection, i felt lifeless. Like a common nerd who lives more on tech n books, rather than live life. I stopped myself from getting too involved . The first step was important , the transition from ebooks to cartoons and tv series.

i practically watched about 900 cartoon episodes, and so many tv series. They reminded me well of the fun you can have with people, and i felt my inhibitions drop. I began considering communication "natural" , something you do when you have anything to say !

I started talking earnestly, and actively seeked out opportunities to talk. It was the sense of interaction, that made it possible for me for lead the now normal and complete life.
What i had been doing earlier, for the sake of it, now became something i did for my own- self satisfaction.

I do feel very happy to have a lot of freinds, formal and informal, with whom i share stuff n feelings. And one more unintended consequence.... If i am alone , i prefer silence to music. if there are people around, i detest silence !!

So long.. and do observe me when i speak ;)

Stuck ! Dreams of private heavens !

0comments
Hi guys.

I am in deep trouble. I was not managing my time correctly, and i have a lot of prep pending. The statistics are like these ..

50 mock cats
80 class handouts
3 arun sharma books
8 basic reference material
10 practice exercises books
5 test series books
over 18 weeks of pending online tests
lots of quant funda

And these are just ones that are for CAT. the other ones include ..

.Net revision
J2se and J2ee
Silverlight
ruby on rails
php

.. i have 60 days for the cat stuff, after which they are not as important as those in the second category. However, i am participating in the IBM TGMC challenge, as well as Microsoft IMAGINE CUP. Both have a totally different set of requirements, and it would help a lot if these were scheduled after my exams in nov.

Technology is often a bane than a boon. <-- wait for the justification --->
Let me first ask , why was "technology" used ? Because it makes things simpler and easier , isnt it ! So the job gets done quickly and we can go home early.
Is it happening like that ? Absolutely not ! in fact, the amount of work to be done is increasing even more, coz the people are given more thngs as time is still left.

So, instead of removing the stress of thinking up some "x" things, techonology is causing us to make up "3x" things. More stress.

And now those of you who would try to bash me up with questions like ..... " you do use a laptop, dont you ? That is technology" , please stop. I have "boldly" mentioned often , not always..I might seem equivocal, but you surely know which side i am favouring.

I will aslo justify my stance. Nowadays, i am staying back after college , in the college, for approx 2 hrs , to prepare for my CAT. the place, located on the outskirts has absolutely no people at that time. So calm , and the silence broken only by the chirping of birds.

I decided that in future, i will buy myself a piece of agricultural land, have a mansion @ the centre, a small pool , and all the food i want as crops there. It will be my private heaven . Total independence, but not total isolation.

I will be managing my tech work online, and spend a considerable amount of time with nature. .! Lets not dwelve too far into the future... bye for now !

How i got rid of my AIPS

0comments
hi guys, remember me ? The guy who used to blog once a day, 30 days a month till... one day suddenly stopped blogging ! Well, it was a classic symptom of my now receding procrastination syndrome.

If i had approached a psycho-doc, i would have been put under a new medical condition called the "Acute Inevitable Procrastination Syndrome " -- AIPS for short !!

Almost everything i wanted to do had to be delayed ! As a rule, i even reminded myself that it was too early to do things .. Thinking how i procrastinated ? Its a great skill, but an even greater menace ... I know you are not dumb ! Keep guessing.

What matters now is not how i procrastinated, but how i got rid of it !! It was seriously hard stuff, but my CAT prep had a major role in it.

It all started like this... one day, when i was introspecting on what all i have done and should do ( probably day dreaming) , i had an impulse to jot it down on paper.
It was the first time i realized i have a 1:15 ratio of things i did to things i had to do.

Panic mode. I never realized i lagged behind ! I wasn't comparing with others, but with my conscience. The results would have been far more scarier if i had really compared with anyone else...

I tore a few white pages, folded them , stapled ,shaped , whatever, and finally made a notepad !
Just a raw reminder of what i had to do. Never thought it had much of anything in it !

I was wrong, and much to my delight, i did far many things in just 3 days than in the entire prev week ! It was nothing special, just that i didnt "forget" things i was supposed to do.

I tried this thing for nearly a month now, and finally blogging came up on the list. I already have a lot of issues to blog on, and i hope this does not become just one of those random posts i often make.

The ways of life...

0comments
Hi.
My CAT classes have picked up pace, forcing me into a cramped schedule comprising of my college work, project work, research work and CAT work. It was on one such occasion, that i witnessed a scene , which made me rethink of life.

I was walking on the roads of Sec-Bad in the early morning. Time was nearly 6.17 am, my class was at 6.15, and my ambulatory movements gave me no comfort. Further still, it was drizzling, and i had to duck under a few sheets of paper.

Imagine the empty roads, the steady drizzle, the occasional cycle passing by , and a cool morning breeze. It was enough to make my day bright. As i was nearing my institute, suddenly there was the most ferocious growling noise i heard. Not a single growl, but around 6 dogs , baring their teeth and growling at something.

I was rooted on the spot, trying to decide something. The canines had not spotted me yet, or made a move. They were busy growling. I was almost about to take another path, sighing , as i was already late. Menace of the dogs is quite common here, but today it seemed threatening.
After all, what is more scarier on the roads than a pack of mad dogs at your heel.

Suddenly i heard a human voice amidst those harsh sounds. I wondered how brave the person was, who braved the dogs. I got back my courage , and started walking briskly, fully alert and focused only on the road in front.
Now even the mutts saw me approaching, and it was a do or die situation. I wanted to nod at the brave dude on the road, and looked sidewards.

SHOCK of my LIFE !!

It was a blind old beggar , walking randomly on the street, unaware of the dogs till he came close enough. Now he was also scared like me, probably even more, and was frantically kicking his legs in the air, shouting at the dogs.

The dogs themselves were still menacingly rabid, growling at every motion of the man.
Suddenly one of them came sniffing to me, and my adrenaline was getting pumped up !! I couldnt leave the poor dude for the dogs. I was already late anyway. But if left alone, he was bound to kick one of the mutts and end up being bitten.

I was still wondering what to do, when a milk van came out of nowhere. All the dogs suddenly stopped, and the man hopeessly turned in every direction to get a sense of what was happening.
The driver had apparently thought the man would walk away, but there was no movement from him. All 3 of us were subconsciously aware of an accident that was about to happen in a few moments. Didnt know what to do, so i shouted at the man to move.

No avail.

The driver suddenly turned his vehicle aside, missing the man by a couple of inches, and in the process, crushed a poor mutt under the front tyre.

Gruesome .. I couldnt bear the sight. The driver stopped and started to yell at the man. I called to him and told the driver he was blind. All of us were silent. Even the dogs. All of us were looking at the mutt under the tyres ,, except the blind dude.

There was nothing to be spoken anymore. The blind man continued , kicking in the air, unaware of what had happened. He still expected some dog, and i couldn't bear his helplessness.

It was strange. Should i pity the blind beggar who still kicked in the air.
Should i pity the mutt that lay dead ?
Should i scold the driver as he could have hit the man.
Should i laugh at myself for going there in the first place.

Time Constraints ... Blogging addicts

0comments
Hi.
Guess i should be consistent in posting things. I was actually a bit "busy" ...Well, actually i was procrastinating, and i have got nobody to blame.

Really, clearing the conscience can bring a great amount of relief, as i observed several times in my childhood. I am totally honest with everyone only because of my experiences. If i have anything to comment, i do it directly on the face, all my opinions are direct, and i always tend to forgive n forget.

After all , I have more things to do than bearing malice to the society. In this regard, i will say one last thing -- I think the society ( atleast the one closely involving me) can be convinced with reasoning.

I make friends with everyone, no doubt, but i do tend to linger more with those who have similar thoughts, habits or patterns as i do. This actually enhances the degree of understanding we have with each other, building up trust, and of course, the much needed competitive spirit.

There have been a lot of unfortunate events recently in the circle of friends i have. Some of them have even met with serious accidents.
For instance, consider Sanga Nikhil.
He was slated to go on a tour, but fell victim to the hazards of 2 wheeler travel.
He had an accident resulting in a broken nose, a clot in the head, blackout for 2 days, a bout of fits, and continuous medication in the hospital.

I wont condemn or exalt private transport in 2 wheelers, but i leave it to your own discretion whether or not to embrace such a hazardous( in the present road-congestion-accident viewpoint) mode of travel.

My project is nearing completion. Letz hope it rocks...

Big Break .. Lots of tutorials .. Lots of sleep

0comments
Hi.
I know nobody missed the blog ;) Everybody is in a holiday mood like me.
Well, I did quite a lot of things in the holidays , including things like climbing 3850 steps to sleeping 15 hrs to watching 5 movies entire night and so on.

Extremities are common in holidays, well, at least for me. I tried my hand at Japanese, but my "64-bit" vista doesn't support the full functionality and crashes shortly after training begins.
Such is the cost of higher performance.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell, I brought a new "study chair". Don't get it ? Well, its the sort of chair with a plank attached so you can sit and read comfortably. It IS REALLY wonderful.

I, the world's best procrastinator, found myself in a position unable to stop reading CAT material for almost 2 days. It invites you into comfort, and the wooden plank, smoothly polished, along with the comfy backrest all promote concentration ( he he he... i even fell asleep comfortably)

So .. this is only the beginning. After my bad experiences with Gutka-man , i came to fully appreciate the fact that he is a 3rd degree unorganized man, unable to keep up to the reputation of a head. He doesn't take responsibility of his actions, he doesn't keep his word, and even worse, keeps telling many different things to different persons.

I am not on a Gutka-man fleecing propaganda , so i will leave him in his own pool of spittle ( just imagine .. !! )

Did you ppl know about the rule of " Tension in the last few days of Holidays" principle.
Well, I have to write about it. It is too commonly ignored, and yet, unavoidable.

I keep remembering hundreds of things i thought of doing in the holidays, but remembered only in the last week of holidays. How do we keep messing up so badly. Is it normal tendency to delay things that would otherwise require some effort on your part ?

I am not sure about the rest of the society, but I am a "Pro Procrastinator". It is almost natural for me to delay things to a time when it is almost infeasible to leave things alone.
That's where the few action packed working hours go on, at full pace, leaving me complete satisfaction that the job was done.

I am trying to things on time lately, and that has saved my neck a couple of times, including the time when ............ "i forgot to bring my hall ticket, but i still had time to go back and get it coz i woke up a bit early and got ready ".

Well, this is just a warm up post . For a full account of how my holidays went, keep waiting ;)
Only if you can .. ;) And one more thing. There's no relevance with the title. ;)

Bad Day .. Happy Ending..

0comments
Hi folks.

Woke up as usual, downloaded a lot of beautiful vocals from you tube, and then started out for college ! Can you imagine THAT ! Right in the middle of the so-called vacations, i had to force myself all the way to college. Why...you ask ? Because of some guy's fickle decisions at work.
That freaking guy is Head Of Department,CSE ( unfortunately, mine ).

The journey. It was terrible. Idiotic driver didn't care for rules, suddenly stopped the bus and announced that we were too few to go all the way to college. After a wait of few min, we were transferred ( forcibly evacuated) to another bus, which was no better.

It smelled of vomit, making me and Basha nauseate, and we had to endure it for more than 20 min. Soon enough another bus turned up, and we were packed into it. Not 'WE'. Technically the rest of the people who were in the 3 buses were squeezed there. I and Basha didn't even manage to get standing space. We emptied our pockets, got into the RTC, stood for approx 15 min, luckily got a seat.and enjoyed the rest of the journey.

Usually, we would have reached college by 9.10 in the college bus, but it took us 10.30 to reach Ibrahimpatnam. We walked to our friend's house, had some water there, sat down to cool under the fan, and left soon. We reached college by 11.00 , in the hot sun, traveled to the Gutka-man's room, ..and then what ! That guy was clicking menus on the monitor for a long time ,approx 3 to 4 min even after letting us in.

I had a conversation with him, and he started his usual negativity. He was telling stuff like whatever project we did in institute, that had to be written. And we guys were not listening to him and stuff. I told him coldly that i had already submitted abstract, was not joining any institute, and then .. he told do whatever you want.

Ha ha. It was the final signal. I told him " Okay sir, thank you.. "with glee and simply walked out.
It didn't occur to the crazy guy that i might take advantage of the situation. He was hoping that i might start pleading for writing a name.

I and Basha walked all around the college to find a suitable room, for charging my Laptop. Surprise. I took it along with me, in case there was time left. And you know...plenty was left over.

After a few hours of tutorials, songs, and comedy scenes, it was finally lunch time. We ate full meals at the canteen( i was too full to eat it completely) an had the strangest combination of Mirinda. Then we again went back to the hideout, used the laptop for a few css programs , and gave up. We were too sleepy. We had a shot for few minutes at Twilight, then How I Met Your Mother.

It was nearly 3. We were walking back, when i felt the urge to meet the 'Gutka-man' once more.
I started out strangely. " Sir i am going now. Is it necessary to write the name". He called me inside, told me he was not against our batch, and all the gibberish he usually told everyone. Total crap.

Finally, i told him i was doing the project in >net, and he told me to do whatever i wanted. So i came out, happy that i need not travel again to this Gutka-man's headquarters.

Buses did not start for a looooong while, and i half slept, sweating and uncomfortable, and we finally reached our destination in 1 hr. We got down at hanuman temple, prayed, and came out.
We walked back home . We* indicates Me and Basha* (not original name ),

I had a good chat with my friends. Many of them. Even rare ones who never turned up on yahoo.
Finally i am here blogging as usual. My long time friend chaitu tried to post some obscenities here on the blog comments, but i prefer the clean way. ;) srry chaitu.. but ur comments didn't have the kick in them. ha ha ha

Gud nitefolks.

Cricket...photoshop..and still in One Piece

0comments
Hi friends

I browsed till 3.30, when my mom scolded me for spoiling my health. I had to surrender to the threats, pretended to switch off my laptop, (but it was still running) and went meekly.

I turned off the lights and slept till 5.30, then happily found many songs finished downloading.
Notable among them are 21st century breakdown(by GreenDay) , Red Hot Chilli Peppers (thats the band name dudes !) and some songs of Beyonce.

I detest rock, pop etc , but the ones i heard were not in that ' outrageous' category. Not likable either. Especially that Beyonce stuff. They were wacky..

Then i started w3schools, concerned that i had to complete my mini project. I still have to create flash banners , design the web pages, create an ajax chat client, and integrate it in my project.

But first, i had to finish the few remaining One Piece Manga episodes.

I read them quickly, and then remembered I had to play cricket with my friends.
I hurriedly cooked 2 omlettes, hot and spicy, and ate them.

The weather was surprisingly cool, and my friend came right to my house to pick me up. I quickly got down, got on his bike, picked up anoter friend on the way, and drove off to the ground.

It was a multitude of pitches, none of them physically separated of course.
One team's fielder was in others territory( as if they existed) ... nevertheless, it was quite interesting to play the matches.
I finally began sweating from the effort, nearly an year and a half since i last played with them.

All this happened by 9.15. Racha Racha dropped me near st.no 8, and i reached home by 9.40. I had a quickie shower, sat down infront of the lappie, and started tutorials. Today, i was a bit serious in reading, and managed to complete the template creation part of it( learning ).

As i said earlier, i started Photoshop , read through a lot of tutorials, and SLEPT !

Again from 2.30 to 4.30 in the afternoon, i slept. And i woke up from Basha's call.
And i have decided to go to College tomorrow ! Just for checking out the situation on Mohanty n his ideas abt our mini project.

Then i worked on photoshop, started tutorials on css again, got the impulse to write the blog, and here I am.

SO the remainder of the day, ie .. from 7.30 pm, will be nothing but an event in the history ( nice story.... will write later..maybe tomorrow)

BuhBye. I plan to devote this time to my photo manipulative soul.

Midnight Bandwidth

0comments
hi buddies

How do i say it. From today on, if i don't mention anything about my waking up, take it for granted that i burnt the midnight bandwidth !

Hey, that's a great term, don't you think !
"Midnight Bandwidth". Let me guess. This post's title is dynamically changed to it.

I downloaded great scenarios and maps for AOM. Umtimate obsessiveness. But i love it this way. Know why ?

It is this feeling that makes me enjoy the day, and also makes me sick of the game so much that i dont play it again. To my advantage. This is a very common strategy i employ. Some of you might find it strange, but it works out quite well for me !

My parents attended a marriage in a friend's home, but i and bro played till we got frustrated to max. I even went to the extreme, and Deleted AOM. I said..DELETED.

But then what did i do ? I foolishly opened One Piece manga that i had downloaded a long time ago, and started reading it. Crazy me !

But Luffy's even crazy, the protagonist in One Piece. Great creativity in the series though !

I plan to unveil my photographic manipulation techniques tomorrow , after a lot of tutorials in noon, and you can find my finished works in my picture blog on the 19th.

So good night. Sleep well (not oversleep)
Bye Bye.

P.S I fixed the second cooler in the house, and i have it all for myself.Working heaven at the bedside ! Bye now !

LOTR , AOM ... going too much to the fantasy side of life !

0comments
Hi friends.

Thinking i woke up as usual at 2.30 ?
Nah !
I woke up at 8.. nearly 13 hrs of sleep. Fully recharged ! I managed to switch on the internet daringly, stop all downloads, and log into my online life.

I opened my various accounts ( social networking, you know ! ) , responded to queries and friends , and turned internet off. I again started AOM , wasted my time for it, ( but what to do ..it is an obsessive game ) and finally quit at 4.

Gosh ! What am i doing with my holidays. I managed to read some CAT stuff, then switched back to Flash, and tried creating a banner. Bah..Boring lot. I didn't have enough stock photos to make a good one!

If this goes on, i am definitely gooing to waste holidays. But wait. I forgot to say one more thing. I started LOTR again, reading the book.

LOTR ..Lord of the rings, for god's sake. 1000 pages fat ! And next in line is the accidental series from Dakota cassidy.
Though i claimed to start it a few days ago, i never made it through more than 3 pages. That itself contained a lot of vulgarity. But that's the author's style ,i guess.Let me read a few chapters and pass my Judgment !

Bowenpally thop went to his home yesterday, hope he brings me the reliance sim ! Waiting eagerly for the shitty sim that gives me pretty offers !

So long for today.

Youtube, Java and AOM. Terrible combo

0comments
Hi friends,

I woke up , us usual, in the eerie time range of 2 to 2.30 am , compulsively started my lappie toppie, and frustrated myself witht a constant disconnection problem ( which later turned out to be a loose cable !!)

I switched on my utorrent , kept a few torrents for download, and opened Flock.
It is the most social browser , as it claims. All accounts in one place. Very easy and comfy for lazy bums like me !

Nearly 3 am, my eyes started itching. I cleansed them with cold water. Instant relief. I opened w3schools , started out with css , and felt silly learning the kiddie stuff !

I saw a few telugu comedy scenes on youtube ( Search them... very funny ..atleast for me, they are ;) ) The time was nearly 7.40 am, when my friend came, surprising me !

I got ready in 1o min, and came back, but she had to see job openings in Java @ Infotech. We saw them, then jumped directly into JavaWorld , swam through threads and classes , dodged garbage collectors, fought with Jdbc, and finally VICTORY !

We managed to have a quick glance through entire Java in 4 hrs. Before lunch, my friend left, and i sat, as usual, in front of lappie, started AOM in lan, and fought with my bro.

4 hrs of continuous battle for survival really washed me out, and i couldn't even manage to read one unit in asp.net

I slept , right on the sofa, with the laptop still on. Nearly an hour later, someone noticed, woke me up and told me to switch off the laptop !

I turned it off, skipped dinner and slept. But you know what ? Mom woke me up forcibly for dinner, and thats the sole reason you ppl are still reading this post today !!

Good Night ! Heavy Sleepy !

Long live Demonoid ! I love torrents.

0comments
Hi friends,

How did i spend this day ? Let me think (honestly ... i do think sometimes !!! ) I woke up at 2.20 am, brushed, and sat down in front of the internet. I did an exhaustive search on ASP.Net, and took an online mock topic in CAT ! The results were awful. I forgot most of the shortcuts that were taught in the very beginning in numbers.

I promised to revise those topics very deeply, practice it thoroughly , and do more mocks. After the initial 'enthu' had drained out due to low scores, i searched my most 'fav' site - Demonoid.com.
The torrent paradise, offering me every tutorial released by every online publishing studio.
I searched for e commerce apps, asp.net and search engine optimization, started downloading and sat back to enjoy subbalakshmi's music.

It was nearly an hour later that i started browsing again, searching for references and apps in Asp.Net. Then i visited http://tricktrick.freeforums.org , our community download n resource sharing site. I posted some topics today, then checked my mails, saw my orkut, sifted through facebook and ...

One sec. I almost forgot to tell ! When I went to SunTechDays @ Hyderabad HICC , I met an instructor named Angela Caicedo , who is a technology evangelist @ sun micro systems.
She helped me out in my JavaFX lab session, and i stumbled upon her profile in FaceBook.
After thinking over a lot, deciding to clear my JavaFX doubts, and I added her as friend.

I then browsed through some blogs of interest, and finally switched off the internet @ 8.10 am.
To Consolidate what i searched , i read a few topics from silverlight ebook.
Approximately at 9.30, my friend from NIIT turned up, and we read JSP's and servlets totally, from the all famous 'Head First Series' .

After lunch, my friend left, and I sat down to enjoy a heavy session of AOM. My bro was totally done for today, unable to maintain the aggressive tempo he always maintained. As a result, he had to forego the game. I had totally opted for defense, built some pretty good walls, sealed the waterways, and persistently attacked the enemies. It all resulted in ....nothing ! My bro accidentally switched off the wireless modem, and i had a disgusting screen pop up, stating that "Restart your Game as your IP address has changed " .

Well.I had to start the game all over again. All by myself. I finally recognized the potential in a good defence rather than an expensive offense !
Java haunted me , begging me to read it once . But did I ?
AOM rocks man .. strategic max.

Just when i thought everything was fine and started loading my old downloaded asp.net tutorial(8.84 gb) , it showed an error ! I was dumbstuck. Never did i expect that such a thing would happen. I thought (..yeah yeah..i sometimes do ..) that I had to download the entire stuff again. But then , i readlized, smiling with joy, that it was a torrent, and could be corrected again with no probs.

--> Jai Bolo Demonoid ki. <--
I searched for the torrent file, and it started verifying the files. To my relief, there was a small part missing in every file, and it all amounted to 60 mb.
I therefore, keeping in view the proofs of effectiveness and purposefulness of torrents, vow to continue using torrents daily ... (ha ha ha .. a little too much ..! ).

K then, take care. Bye n good night !

Lucky Luckie ... n extreme 'CAT'ing

0comments
Hi .
First day of holidays. Supposed to be memorable, isn't it ? The sweetness of freedom, the lack of responsibility, unlimited sleep , etc etc are the bonuses you get with holidays.
But not me ! oh Man ! I have a mini project , to be completed by the 31st of this month.
I know its a piece of cake, but that's not the only thing i am doing !!

CAT stole its rightful place in my today's preparation. After browsing the internet for various articles from 5 to 8, i got bored with my lappie, or rather, got interested in doing some CAT material.
Guess what ! I started reading Verbal first, prepared 3 topics from our IMS stuff, and then jumped to Quant ! I started Geometry and finished triangles and lines.
Then i saw a mail from IMS ,regarding a doubts session, being held in the afternoon from 3 to 5 for quant, and from 5 to 7 for verbal.

I thought, "arey yaar, its been a long time since i went there, let me just brush up my fundamentals in the doubts session". With that intention in mind, i started walking out, armed with 6 of my prep books, a waterbottle, and a cap.

Luck.
That's the factor that showered upon me today. Not in drops or trickles but in rivers and oceans. Just as i stepped out of the house, the clouds hid the sun, making it very shady and comfortable to travel.
I smiled at myself, thinking this was a good sign. I approached the jam packed road which i couldn't cross normally, but there was a car that suddenly broke down in the middle of the road. The entire traffic halted, and nobody moved. Laughing to myself now, i slowly crossed the street, wondering what was special ! Slowly I started walking to the bus stop, but then i remembered i forgot to take money for the travel.

If i had been in my usual mood, I would have cursed myself, frowned, crossed the street again, walked back home, climbed three floors of stairs, searched for the missing purse, shouted at everyone to search, finally accepted defeat and asked mom money, and then hurried back to the bus stop to reach the destination early.

But today was the first day of holidays. Also, i had done a lot of studying. With that in mind , and hoping for more miracles, I proceeded , ( my father's office was also in the same direction).
Luck.
My father was coming in the opposite direction on a bike, and i waved at him, took money from him, and happily walked to the stop. My new found happiness and luck directed the rare 250/49M to manifest itself before me within a few min of my arrival.
I now confirmed that my lucky day had come ! Ha ha ha.

I reached IMS , walking under the hot sun, and sat in the classroom. I was alone. To my utter disbelief, i was the only student who had come for a doubts session today ! My class at IMS had AC ! Lucky again.

My sir cleared the 4 doubts i had, and sat down to do his work. I also started doing my work, and amazingly completed 2 topics, both concept and workbook, sitting right there ! Then my verbal sir came, suggested that i practice , and he also cleared few of my doubts. Then i left IMS, hopping all the way.

I was jubilant, owing to the fact that i completed 4 units in quant today, 3 in Verbal. Anyway, i got home , switched on my laptop, learnt a bit of Japanese, and then shut down my lappie.
I again started reading a few concepts of ASP.Net, then switched back my lappie, and came here to blog. So long fow now. Will keep you updated about the rest of details later.

Exams finished ... HOD too ...!! Holiday Troubles !!

Hi friends

Finished the last of my exams , skipped 2 parties, played on lan .. and that's the gist of the my today's routine !

One sec. Did i say it was finished ? Nah !

I have a lot of info on our HOD (from our meeting today ! ).

We went to him casually to start a conversation on our mini-project ! What did we hear in return.. A lot of "cock-n-bull" stories ..he he he.
My HOD started his usual gutka chewing activity, pretended to listen to our problems, and then started superbly faking that he was the only sane person in the college , with a such a reputation that even guys from IIT and foreign universities approached him for projects.

Well, he asserted that we were not even 'skilled ' to be considered worthy . In his 'opinion', he expected nothing from us other than copying code, so he was forcing us to come to college even in the holidays. Well, that is happening to people from other colleges also , but our guy is a total maniac.

He demands quality on one hand, originality on the other , and all sorts of rubbish on whatever other limbs he has. I am not criticising my HOD, he is acting to the best of his 'WISDOM' , but is that 'WISDOM' really enough..? When will he learn to accept the facts. I know he is a bit slow at speech recognition and synthesis due to his rather overly fondness of gutka, but even his mind seems terribly slow at comprehending whats going on.

HE EXPECTS PEOPLE TO TRAVEL IN THE HOT SUN, EVEN WHEN THE LOCAL LAKE HAS COMPLETELY DRIED UP ! This is another point to be noted ! The entire Ibrahimpatnam 'lake' got dried up, killing the numerous fish and other animals that live there ! Totally awestruck in the morning when i saw it ! Heard that such a thing never happened in the lake's history..! Hot Stuff!!

With everyone ready for visiting their families and friends, this guy stands as a lone interruption, a hassle to all those who seriously want to enjoy the precious few holidays for the last time in student life ! Lets stop this discussion here !

I had a slice in the canteen, drank some water, and sat in the college bus.Tired. Really tired !

Finally i and Basha reached home, played a lot of Age of Mythology, got really tired, and here i am, blogging. But before that, i talked to a friend of mine about mini-projects, and we finally decided to go to college on 16th. So till then, happy blogging. Happy gaming. Happy CATting.

Last exam ... damage control mode ... CAT

0comments
Hi buddies,

I woke up in the morning at 4 'o ' clock , mostly due to the heavy moonlight , finding its way to my face through the open window.
It was the most scenic incident at home , early in the morning. The cool air outside attracted me for a couple of minutes, after which i resumed the 'as-usual' laptop usage, and sat down in my sofa.

With such a great start, i excitedly opened silverlight, and attempted to integrate it with my Visual Studio. Bloody windows updates nearly 50 to 80 mb daily! I think it will cross well over 20 Gb for just the updated installation !

Damped hopes for silverlight ! I ditched the attempt (like i did yesterday for something else) and watched Twilight for sometime. THEN i remembered ! I had an exam tomorrow !
I started revising the previous concepts, and wrote my photblog. Check it out sometime.

I finished my breakfast, got ready and started reading when my friends came. I made it a point not to play today ! We read seriously,( napped only 1 or 2 times today) and by lunch time, my friends left.

My old temptations urged me to hunt for the hidden laptop, connect via Lan, and play an offensive against the computer. i and my bro barely managed to save our skins today, considering the fact that i changed the mode to Hard from normal.

We played till 3.30 pm, after which i had to quit , read for 40 min, and took a nap . Not a nap actually. Naps aren't supposed to be 3 hrs long. Everyone forgot to wake me up, until a call from Basha forced me to get up and call him back.

Started revising all topics. Amazingly, i finished all 5 units in a record 1.5 hrs. Cool !

I dont know how to remember the side/sub headings. Maybe i'll study them tomorrow !
I cant wait for the exams to end ! I have 2 parties to attend tomorrow, neat NIIT.
So good night for now ! Let me recharge my soul !!

But wait ! CAT is lurking around ! Serious issue. I have to resume my meagre prep to full time ! I hope to spend a max of 1 week on my project, another on 4-1 subjects, another on the trip to tirupathi , and in the meanwhile , read CAT daily for 2 hrs.

Now. Good.Night. Cute Dreamzz

Lan Kingdoms, Testing things , and no power cut !!

0comments
Hi friends.

I had a terribly good time today.

I accidentally woke up at 2.30 am, started my internet, and the first thing i did was to download an update patch for the Age Of Mythology.
Then i tried to download a software 200mb, and when it was at 93% there was a disconnection and all progress was lost! (you cant afford to live without a download manager ) ! But i wasn't in for a defeat . I located the same file in torrent, (actually, it is age of empires 2), and it was downloaded in 13 min approx ( super speeds here dudes !)

I downloaded NFS undercover.jar for my brother to play on my father's mobile. As if that wasn't enough, he made me download TonyHawkProSkater .jar and princeofpersia.jar
I stumbled for a lot of time, found some interesting stock photos for later photo manipulation, and then started the Age of Mythology. I had to disconnect net at 8.00 , because my brother woke up, connected his system through wireless, copied the patch, updated his version, and 'demanded' that i play with him.

I also 'surrendered' and started playing heavily. We were one team, with 2 other teams of Big Boomers , i.e Dangerous (an understatement ...rather Deadly Powerful) enemies.
About the same time, my friends came, and I again persuaded them to wait for a few more min before I actually started reading.

We started reading , and finished a unit by lunch. One of the guys,(Warden) left, and others were inclined towards a little nap. This helped me to launch the game covertly, and play it with my Bro. After an hour or so, we had a serious shunting from mom, and we closed the respective computers.

I started reading again, completing a part of 2 to 3 units. Great units. Easy to study.
Then , when we were full of enthusiasm, I got a call from RachaRacha. It was apparently his birthday that i had forgotten. I hurriedly wished him a happy day, and he calle dme out for a party. My friends left, and i got ready, prepared to meet my school friends who alse were coming for the party.

It was too cool to get together , and they were cool to enjoy with. We went to Goodlands , had a veg corn soup for a starter , then ate malai something with nan , and then korean paneer, and then paneer masala something.

It was sumptous ! As if we hadn't enough, we again went to King Horn bakers, ate a cornetto icecream, and then finally had a sprite.I was bursting with excitement (and food !!). I finally took leave of them, and promising to plan out our reunion in the holidays.

I came home,i am writing this post with a lot of effort, and now i am going to bed and 'sleep like a log' . Bye.

And suprisingly enough, there was no power cut today!

Mythology ....and The Photoshop adventures.

0comments
Hi ppl.

The previous night was unbearable , with no electricity as usual. It was like remembering Einstein's theory of relativity ! Sleep with a fan for few hours, you wont notice anything , but sleep in that power cut for a minute, and you feel getting fried in the pan.(bad comparision :P )

Today i installed my fav strategy game - Age of Mythology. I tried to connect it on LAN with my bro, it the stupid version was showing version different error. I thought it was probably a messed up installation, and started playing in single player mode.

I was totally engrossed in the game , and my friends arrived. Warden and Hali came , and i still didn't quit playing. Starting from morning, I went on playing continuously till lunch, took a break, and then started playing till evening 5pm.

Hali had already left, unable to bear the mundane repetition that usually occurs in the game. Warden was there, expecting that we read atleast a unit. I finally ditched the game and started studying. We saw a small part of the units, suddenly, when there was a power cut ! God !

Warden scurried away hurriedly, and i also started walking in the balcony. After a while the power returned,I called up a friend of mine, after which i sat in front of the Television after months,( serious viewing), and watched some stupid Telugu channel.

Then the original session started. I opened Picasa, took a few nice resolution poses of myself, and started editing them. I am still debating whether to put them on the net or not ! Anyway, that will be taken care of in my oicture blog, as soon as the final touches are over.

Finally, i read a few more pages of Necroscope, started blogging, and i will take leave shortly. I hope that there will be much more interesting things to hear in the holidays. Good Night !

New Tag Cloud ... Feeling proud.

0comments
hi.
I woke up at 2.30, started on Joomla again, went to w3schools.com for the basics , and started studying. Nearly 3 hours later, i managed to complete a sufficient part of CSS.

I updated the "photos" link on my blog. It is a brand new page, with one photo daily, describing it , its significance, and what it means to me.. basically from my point of view.

And you must have already observed the cool flash type rotating cloud on the right part of this blog. It is a blogger gadget, with keywords called tags. Yo can see posts related to that keyword there ! After weeks of trials with old versions, i finally found a working script.I m very happy !

I watched Bleach 217, got bored, and started watching Twilight ! After a few min, i decided i should start reading STM. My friend came over to my house, and we started reading it. The entire afternoon, there was a power cut, and it was miserable.

My friend took leave after lunch, and i installed Age Of Mythology, and tried it on lan with my Bro. Didn't Come. We were frustrated after trying many times. I sat down listening to tutorials , and my bro watched Alien vs Predator on TV. Telugu Version,Horrible.

The stupid internet didn't connect for a while, and everything today was getting me frustrated. I tried to install Dreamweaver, but couldn't find it anywhere. So i made a mental note to download it first thing in the morning.

And i also resolved my slow download speed proble,.Quite a story actually. My wireless is always on, and the local ethernet adapter was configured for Lan Play. So i was unable to connect throug lan, instead it was connecting through wireless, which guaruntees "low speeds".

I had a looong chat with Basha, over phone, for nearly 40 min, and he was also lamenting on the lack of electricity. I decided to finish my mini project essential requirements in these holidays itself, so that when exams finish, i can concentrate on the project.

I read 50 pages of Necroscope, by Brian Lumley. It is a "speak to the dead" supernatural fantasy stuff. I hope to finish the entire series in a few days !! Interesting. But i am looking forward to read the "accidental" series much more than these !

I completed creating a css template , when we had a power cut. I am writing this post in a notepad, hoping to copy it as soon as power returns back.Bye for now ! Good night !

H ..sessions, G..sessions , J.. sessions

0comments
Hi !

Care to know about H , G or J ? Holidays ..Gaming and Java...simple enough !

I woke up late , unexpectedly, had a very bad download speed, got bugged by the system restart and automatic updates, ... and so on . But pessimism has a limit too .

I had peace of mind finally, as this was the beginning of a 5 day endeavor into Java Server Pages.
I still had one more thing to do first before i started studying ... LAN Gaming !!

I called my friends to get ready for the gaming sessions, for which they were less than enthusiastic , and they even stayed in bed till 10.oo am ! Despite this, I packed my laptop and reached my friends house by 10.30.

We installed Ghost Recon advanced warfighter, and played it a couple of times. The big downside of the game was that it had to be restarted after every match. This consumed most of our time.

We managed to play till 2.00 , during which I tried installing Visual Studio 2008 ( His copy on a very nice sony DVD , packed in a Sony Case). Finally, we met our school friend on the way home, and had a chat in the hot afternoon sun for a few min.

I readched home on his 'bike' , and he left to buy a HDMI cable at Koti. Expensive Stuff.
When i got inside, my brother pounced on me, demanding an explaination for why i had taken his keyboard and mouse, along with the USB connector.

I explained in a 'gruff' manner, reasoning that it was necessary for gameplay, and then I came into my room. Installed Net Beans in the system.

One major problem with it is that it is not supporting 32 bit apps efficiently. Hope that the service packs amend it satisfactorily !

I sat down , read JSP's for a few min , then checked installation progress, and read it for a few more min. I didn't have the resistance to stay away from STm, and i read a part of one unit today !

I plan on completing STM tomorrow ! Since i have already ''gamed '' a lot, I will read the rest of the two days for competitive exams ( You know what i am talking about !! )

The Day ends... Night begins ... and gives way to Twilight !! My Vampire instincts tell me its dinner time ! Be careful ;) !

P.S : I had a few sessions with Picasa photo capture tool, and the results were superb. Will post them on orkut ...! Goodbye for now !

Half century ... after a century !!

0comments
HI friends..

Successfully completed 50 posts on my blog ! That's a surprise .. even i wonder how i ever managed it ! Daily perseverance does the trick.

Well, i wrote my exam well , except for one answer which was moderately okay ! You will simply laugh after reading what i wrote in the exam.

The question was to describe about a neuro-controller with a case study. Now,.who the hell knows about such stuff , not even present in the text book.. ?
I decided to play safe and wrote the following :

"A neuro-controller has three main functions:
1) It takes the input and optimizes it
2) It processes the input
3) It produces the output for the given input !!

Ha ha ha..can you see the simplicity of this ! Its not right , but it is not wrong either !

And as for the case study, i had to 'create' my own case, with a light sensing robot.
I wrote that the robot takes light as input, processes it, and follows the light !!

I only hope that the examiner sees no pun .. hope he thinks it was seriously written stuff !
Hope against hope. ..!

Wat else. Today is the ' last ' day of exams .. ( we have the real last one ..a week later !!)
Basha wanted me to come to his house, but it was not even remotely possible ! So he left alone, and i walked towards home.

I played carroms for more than an hour, then started Lan G with my bro.
My vista's too new. Not even VLC's installed !! I cant even play a video file ! See the state of affairs. The rest is all known to you ppl. We played till our eyes hurt, then i came back to blog , saw that this was my 51st post, and dynamically updated the title , to honestly indicate that it has been a very long time since i started blogging, but a very short while since i was really active at it. And now i am going to sleep. Tomorrow , maybe if i remember, i will share my dreams and take you to my world ..!! Till then ... ASP.Net jai ho !! good night !

Night out ! Virus out ! Try it out !

Hi again..

I had a fight ,
put all my might,
cornered it tight ,
and then did it right,

what did i do ?

I put the disk,
calculated the risk,
ordered it to die,
and sat down to pry ,

what did i do ?

I typed the key,
and skipped the fee,
and waited to see,
hee hee hee ..

what did i do ?

I FORMATTED MY SYSTEM.

This post is the first one to be written from this beautiful laptop with an extra beautiful Vista 64 bit OEM. Sitting out late in the night, battling with power cuts and drowsiness, i managed to install it at 1.30 am, (technically.. today, though i started it yesterday night!!).

I slept for a little over 5 hours, then woke up, got ready, and braced myself for another study session. I was still famished with the new installation, and started basic stuff like listening to music, exploring the new OS, etc.

My friends came , and we had a good study session in the morning, completing more than 2 units before lunch. I and my friends lost tract of time in the afternoon session, with all of us drowsy after a meal.

My brother told ud stories about his sir, who couldn't pronounce"shh" ..and instead said " iss".
The funny part was : for fish, he said "fisss" ,and the students all did the same !! He also told numerous other tales of how his teachers were, acted and behaved in his class.

We were finally able to glance the whole book , and my friends left. I had to read from the ebook i had in my lappie. I started reading , and soon there was a power cut ( but i was lucky because i had a laptop with a battery !!)

I continued studying for some more time, and then went to sleep. Then i again remembered blogging, and came back here, like countless other times. Now i am drowsy and have an exam tomorrow.
Let me take leave, and i will come back to blog again tomorrow !! heh heh heh ..as if you can stop me !! good night !

"Cool ".. Exam was easy ! Air was Breezy !

0comments
By the time you read this post, i would have formatted my system, reinstalled Vista 64 bit , and be engrossed in the process of installing stuff !

I wanted to wake up late in the morning after a good rest , but i couldn't stop myself from waking up at 2.30, staying up till 3.45..and then going back to sleep again.

I have written my exam successfully, without much ado and 'technical' difficulties.
After exam, the travel in the college bus with Basha was totally uneventful, with both of us napping alternatively. Finally, my stop came, and I dragged myself home.

IS was a simple paper...but a bit lengthy, and now i can start reading Neural Networks. This sub is easy for me .. but i don't have a text book. Ironic that Neural Networks is the only subject I read entirely in the holidays ! I felt confident about the subject !

Wasted the entire evening , but just when i was about to quit, my friends came to study.
(My laptop was not formatted at this scene.) . There were a couple of " power cut - low voltage -power cut - no voltage " scenes, but we enjoyed in the night. A few min passed when we began to doze off together, and my friends, already tired from their journey took a heavvvy nap. We promised to study early tomorrow, and they left.

There was also a lot of breeze and cool air circulating , reducing the temperatures drastically. Enjoyed the temperatures dripping down after a lot and sweating day !

I have paused only a few times while writing this post, owing to the power cuts that are now very common ! Good night ! Maybe my next post will have some info ;)

cryptic studies ... hectic life ... sleepy maxx !

0comments
Hi friends.

If you are wondering about the cryptic part of the title, dont even bother ! It is my exam tomorrow. Network security, dealing with cryptography and networking.

Lets start off with "my problems" today for a change. Minor ones, but ... moderately bearable

The electricity guy
*He must have got a brain tumor.
That nutcase switches off the electricity at 11.30 in the night, making sleep impossible !

The OneManga guys.
*They dont update Bleach, Naruto, OnePiece ( even though it is not their fault !!)

The News channel guys
*They always show crazy stuff about biased politics.

The BSNL guys
* They always send the bill by the 2nd of the month.

The neighbours
*They always steal our milk packets

The Housemaid
*She lost nearly half the smaller items (spoons , soaps, pens, toys ..all vanish without a trace)

The Internet
* Connects at the wrong time, disconnects at the right !

The Cooler
* Gets hotter than it cools !

Thats just the tip of an iceberg. Those are the external problems that i am facing.

At a deeper level, you ought to examine the constant pangs of chocolate addiction i resist so hard.
The effort is nearly killing me off !

I woke up at 2.15, switched on the laptop as preplanned earlier, and immediately went back to sleep. I dreamt of 2 MBps download speeds.

My vista 64 bit is now ready to be installed on my Laptop. I finished scourging my bro's system and dumped nearly 60 gb of stuff ( mostly one piece !) . then i reinstalled XP in one of the drives on the system.

I have to admit defeat on the front of resisting novels. I couldn't stop myself from gleaning a few pages from Lord Of The Rings. My B.Tech books are jealous of the novels.

I must inform you people that my forum is now officially active, though i am the only member there ! (P.S : It is http://phanichalla.freeforums.org ). You are free to join there. Purely for those who consider themselves my friends. he he he ( That means you too !! )

Then , in the afternoon heat, we went to TTD office at himayatnagar, to confirm our reservation for the Tirupati trip on the 9th of June. I got myself photographed and fingerprinted there, came home , and faced my waiting friends at the doorstep. (near the door and on the steps actually !)

We entered into study mode, switched on the cooler, started preparing, and managed to finish off a thorough 3 units. I hope to finish the rest of it in the morn !

As soon as they left, i switched on this lappie toppie, uninstalled a few softwares, and finally switched on the net ! Pleasant browsing, occasional stumbling, active chatting, instantaneous messaging, and a strange burining sensation in the eyes..

I spent some time in facebook, then in orkut, then in ..blogspot obviously. Now i have to sleep, to accomodate the necessities of my body, and to uphold the rules of nature. If i dont sleep now, i will begin to hunt again at night! Vampire style. In the Twilight .

My day ends here, on this line ... and after the next ellipsis ... HERE ---> ' . ' <---- HERE
Have a GoodDay ( ting ting ti ting ! )

Holiday ... jolly day ..... but i still have the exams !!

2comments
Hi friends.

I had a great day ! Woke up at 1.am today, chided myself for getting up early, and immediately went back to sleep ..Next time i woke up was at 5.30. The air from the cooler was so pleasant that i didn't get up, and dozed off ! The last time i woke up was at 7.30 am, when i hurriedly rushed and switched on the internet !

I helped my mom in pulling out the dried food items we made yesterday, and ate a few after frying them. Tasted good ! Then i read Midnight sun for a while before my bro interrupted me !
I flipped through the countless pages without comprehension, as i was lost in another world,.. a world of..well...chocolates ;)

I didn't do any useful stuff in the morning ! Listened to a couple of devotional songs, sat on the floor, and tried to sort my computer. After a few hours, Warden and Bowenpally thop both came home, and sunil (Bakra ;) remember !! ) also came !

My aircel sim might not come , but there is every possibility of getting a Reliance sim ! Lets hope for the best ! My mobile was strangely silent today, an ironic signal that the day was a holiday ;)

Surprisingly there was no power cut, and we enjoyed the afternoon in comfort !
We had our lunch and started reading. We managed to finish 8th unit in IS. Pretty simple. I thought of revising it , but hopelessly failed to do so. And even my 160by2.com didn't open properly.

After my friends left, i assumed i wouldn't sit in front of the computer, but things turned pretty compelling for me. I switched on my Desktop, started cleaning out files from my brother's system ( VIRUS infected) and browsed it through wireless from my laptop.

I had to part with Pushing Daisies also, trashing over 5 to 6 gb of stuff. Even some foreign language tutorials had to go. Well, i have a BSNL internet connection. It doesn't really matter what i download or delete !

Finally, I had a good meal, watched Kung Fu Hustle one last time, deleted Denna Coil entire series, and read a few tamil words ( Guess what ! Someone's gonna get a surprise ;) ).
And what else should i say ?

I ate a chocolate icecream today. I even had a couple of photos of me eating that. It was comforting to have something cold in the mouth , in this sultry weather.

Is it really fair that exams are conducted for such an extended period of time ! How happy it would be if all the exams were held in one single week, and no delays . It would cease to induce the lethargy among students that is widely prevalent in the ongoing scenario , and would also eclipse the minor inconveniences of holiday extensions.

I connected my bro's keyboard and mouse using a ps2 to usb connector. It works fine, The mouse had a wiring problem, and i fixed it with my screwdriver set ( cool set ! All types available ;D )

Now I am going to link my paypal account to my hdfc bank account. Hope to do it tomorrow morning !

I plan to read 4 units in the morning ! So i take leave, dazed and drowsy, to meed you tomorrow in this place. And if i have a dream that i remember , i will blog it immediately ;)

Halfway through the exams ...

0comments
Hi
I am back from the examination, having written a paper comparatively "OK" than the other two days. I wrote it great, but my handwriting got worse in the last 3 pages.

It was fun reading , and watching people read seriously for these JNTU exams..! Well , dont underestimate JNTU just because i am saying so. JNTU's got a lot of reputation in this regard, for instance, awarding 72 marks even when the attempted questions were 3 of 5. ( not me of course !)

Ate Manchuria in canteen.
Lost 20 rs.
Got scorched in the afternoon heat.
Heard that CAT is being held ONLINE
Didn't read in bus .
Had a conv with curious abt villian.
Asked Ramco for student database.
Had a power cut at home.
Browsed the net .
Created a facebook profile for Basha.
Downloaded Basha's fav song.
Fiddled with computer.
Spoke on phone with my school friend.
Saw Rab ne Bana di Jodi .
Pushed the damn washing machine into the spare bathroom.
Helped mom in cooking
Sorted brothers system to a small extent.

Sat down to read.
Lost the mood , started novel instead !
eyes burning ! still idiotic mood !
ok. gotta sleep.

This is the gist of what i did today. Maybe today was exciting after all ! I didnt have to think of reading because we have 2 holidays before the next exam. Ha ha. What a bonus ! Vista is just 1 gb away ! Hope to download all my drivers for my dell .

I am seriously planning to learn origami . (duh ! is it even necessary ? ....yes boss. it is !)
I know people will be curious to know why. I just felt like learning it !

Hey..forgot to tell you ! My Japanese classes are going to be resumed from tomorrow morning ! Again from the beginning ! Lets hope that this will generate interest in common folk ..

My WordPress blog is waiting for me to enter content, and i cant do so unless i read some other book. So an active deadlock condition is occurring here. The only solution is to wait for "Holidays" .. the same non existential holidays, throught which i will be forced to do a mini project, read several dozens of novels, create windows and web apps, prepare for my 4-1 syllabus entirely, and EXTREME CAT.

Easy .. turning me Crazy..

0comments
Hi friends..

Wondering what this is all about ? guess ? It is about the stupid UNIX exam we have tomorrow. It is not difficult to read, in fact , so basic that we keep forgetting everything ;)
Let me not bore you with the mundane facts of exam prep , but i still had lots of trouble with the electricity today! we had a power cut for a whopping 5 hrs.( from 1 to 6 ....hell to congress !)

I am in the mood for a little prep now, because i slept a lot in the afternoon, wasted time during the power cut, and even watched the daily serials on tv instead of reading commands. UNIX is Lite !!

I am turning 'crazy' ( that means eccentric...not dumb) . Crazy about Java mobile edition, and MS.Silverlight which i finally integrated with Visual Studio today !!

I also installed a dictionary in my mobile again, reset the java apps, searched for a lot of time, downloaded Bleach 217 , got disappointed when there were no updates on onemanga.com , read lots of spoilers for naruto , and finally sat down to read.

How can you procrastinate so much like me ? i bet nobody can ! I am always postponing things.. whatever they may be ! Today i even managed to postpone reading for exam ... now thats ultimate procrastination. ( agree ....or agree to disagree?)

CAT prep is low from yesterday... didn't do more than 3 pages today. How will i ever get patience. Hmm.. However, one thing's for certain..i am writing my SCJP examination before May 20th.

SO long for now. My exam prep wasn't tooo exciting, but it will be sufficient for tomorrow ! If i try hard ! Gud nite.. or gud whatever :)

Chimpings too .. and Developing evening time apps !!

0comments
Hi friends.

Wrote my exam well again.
What the hell ! I and my friend had a very quick revision of 5 units in the college bus, and every question i got was from that only. My poor friend didn't get even a single question !!

Luck aside, the paper was late and i got extremely bored in the hall, then started yawning, looked around , and hoped for the paper. We had a small entertainment session from 'agam' ( an unfortunate nickname :) ) before the actual papers came. And you know what my first impression was ? JNTU's gotta be crazy !

Besides wasting 40 pages of paper, printing every detail of every student, deciding which sets the students should get and even setting up substandard question papers , JNTU's giving a day or two holidays between every exam. I really hope that this gets CANCELLED from the next year ! At least then, students will begin reading from the start of the semester !

Typical expected responses for the 'controversial' statements above :

Abba chaa..
Why so pessimistic yaar !
masti kar le !
why to read stuff right from the beginning !
you must be crazy !
wow man , nobody can read that much !
We are in Engineering buddy !

So let me narrate a few incidents that happened while we were returning home from exam ! I and Basha were isolated and sitting in quarantine in the first seat, for the first time, reading a new unix book . We barely managed to finish a couple of commands in 2 units, got tired and crept back to our usual places. Didn't get the chance to sleep today also.

We got down at habsiguda, with Basha urging for a soda. We had one each in the hot sun, relishing it, and then rushed home before we were dehydrated ! As we reached home, we had a power cut ! Shit man ! Basha was disappointed and left soon enough, and i resumed my CAT prep for a few min before a call from Racha Racha interrupted me !

He offered to come to my house to study unix, and i asked him to bring his laptop. And guess what ! I watched i-robot movie, a couple of scenes from Mirrors , and even a scene from Australia. Then we connected our PC's wirelessly , and i started developing the Contact application that i started a few days ago. It took up most of our time, but we finally shut down our lappy toppies, opened our books and began to read. I completed Vi editor, when Karthik , unable to resist his homesickness, left in a rush.

I started listening to the video songs i downloaded, enjoying them and sorting my system files. I will never manage to clean up my PC in its present state. So i am going to format it soon, for added functionality and better performance.

Today i am going to finish the first chapter in UNIX , come what may ! So long for now ! I also have the pleasure of informing you that I 'almost' have my DELL OEM Vista coming to me .. .. Happy installing ! Happy browsing ! Happy blogging !

Goood night ! ( or day .... as long as everything's good )

Compiler Design .. going to be recompiled ... and Java On my Mobile

0comments
Hi people.

I was almost reluctant to sleep yesterday , watching the curious case of Benjamin button late at night ! It wasn't such a great movie , apart from the very creative idea of a man growing from an old man to an infant ( creeps me out !!)

I started developing a windows application for storing contacts, but got a constant nagging error of SQL server missing ! I dumped it temporarily and tried to focus. It was nearly 12.30 @ night , and i was showing no signs of sleep ! I hastily switched off my laptop, promising myself i would wake up and keep my downloads early in the morning @ 2.am.

I was a bit late, i woke up at 2.40, and switched on my Lappie Toppie , and started mu-torrent.
I downloaded 3 video songs
1. Girlfriend - by avril lavigne
2. Ajab si - From Om Shanti Om
3. Andam ga lena from Godavari

Multi lingual and excellent pieces of music, and i really love these !

Then Iwent back to sleep ! When i woke up again, it was 8.30 am. High time !
My friends were arriving in a few minutes, and i got ready hurriedly. Heavy studies. Tried our best to read ! Did whatever was possible. Completed all the tough portions .

Finally, in the evening, all my friends left, and I had some time to revise approx 2 units. Then suddenly i had an idea about my mobile not connecting with my PC. Tried to install jad files and Jar files with the help of Softick PPP. After about 10 failures, i finally managed to install some java apps on my mobile !

Sweet success ! And it was really thrilling to watch the java file being loaded into the mobile after days of frustration. Tomorrow maybe, i have to start searching for apps. I love the free spirit of the internet ! So many things for free out there !

And did i mention, I created an account for myself at Demonoid.com after several months of waiting ! Super cool site ! A whole lot of torrents to download ! So i take leave for now, to take a good rest for the exam tomorrow ! If i manage to write this exam super good, then prepare yourself for reading a double post tomorrow !

Chimpings...

:D
Hi people !
Guess what ! I got the easiest question paper of my life, and i enjoyed writing every word of it !
Wrote everything well. After exam, i went to the library to return my textbook. But to my surprise, i found it was not issued in my name. Did a lot of background searching and finally narrowed down the choices to Chinni..or Johnny.

Sat in the library for a few minutes, begged syllabus book from the librarian, read the probable units in CD, and prepared myself for the upcoming 'challenge' . I sat in the bus, neither slept nor concentrated, and then reached home. I and Basha had a mazaa on the roadside , and started walking towards my home. We also purchased a chewing gum on the way.

Basha had a root canal a few months ago, and his cement filling came out accidentally ! Poor guy ! He has to get it fixed again !

There was nothing much left to do, and in the evening , i and Basha came home to study 2 or 3 units. However , all stories do not have happy endings, and our study story ended there with the entry of a special guest .

I sat for some more time, discussing happily with sravan, while the guest (name hidden for unknown reasons) caught srinath. Soon after Jumper and Warden arrived, the duo of Sravan n guest left, leaving us in a pool of helplessness and disinterest.

We pepared a few questions for important topics, watched the IPL scores intermittently,

Soon everyone left, and i switched on my PC , and all is while, i have been watching the curious case of Benjamin Button . Let me tell you my review once i finish it ! I hope that once these exams finish, i will be writing full page testimonials on all of my 500 or so friends !

Now i am trying to implement a photo-contact list software in C# , and if i manage to develop it quick, i will upload it. Bye for now !

Finale ...

0comments
hi friends

I woke up at 3.am ,didn't feel like sleeping, and i exercised a bit. I also switched on my laptop and started browsing the Internet .Started solving CAT papers and then did a bit of browsing, checked my emails, and then opened my books to read. By 6 am, i was hungry, and ate all the chocolate ice cream in the house !

The curious case of Benjamin Button finished downloading, and i saw nearly 20 min of the movie. B that time, my brother woke up and we both were engaged in a series of lan games. We tried playing with everyone against us in the expert mode, but never survived more than a few min !

By that time, Warden also arrived, and i forced myself to start preparing for the grand finale.. this year's entire education put to test ! Our external exams were going to start from tomorrow ! The subject is CG, as i said earlier, and is very easy ! Hoping to get a good score in it !

I had a good nap in the afternoon despite all the protests around me ! The daily power cut drained all the resistance in me, leaving me at the mercy of the god of sleep ! A 'few' quick naps did the trick, and i was rejuvenated again :)

I read till evening, then peeped and saw nearly the entire "Dead Man's chest" movie ! It was cool ! I then sketched a plan for tomorrow's exams and started talking with Srinath ! We had quite a long chat , and called it a day !

I made one final revision now, and I am off to bed in the few moments that come after this article. Good Night ! Exam time wont bring out very good quality stuff, but i prefer to consistently keep my promise .
Bye for today..srry..tonight !

Exam Recursion..

0comments
With exams so near, there's a strange excitement in the atmosphere ! I am not going to speculate my performance or prognosticate my marks , but i can definitely tell that i am going to do well this time !

I have a feeling of success, as always , before the start of exams , all credit to the successful completion of at least 3 to 4 units in each subject. Lets leave this alone.

I have started my CAT prep seriously , one topic per day, apart from daily online practice !I am allocating 1 hr daily for it during exams, which seems enough at present.

Let me tell you my adventures with my mobile ! I started developing wallpapers for my mobile, and it is like a sort of addiction. Happy making wallpapers :)
I even downloaded Samsung PC suite, found a way to store my sms without deleting them, fiddled with it, and still i find it exciting !

Yesterday was no different from the day before, and i warned everyone that things get strangely repetitive during exams. Read, ate, read, drank, read, slept.
But i always come online at least once a day as long as i have internet @ home.

Basha finally came back from village. He was going to dilsukhnagar to see project details. Told him to enjoy.

i have to get up early and jog . good night

Mobile are fun .., exams from mon !!

Chocoboy rulz !!

Hi friends !

The title is apt ! Mobiles are fun ! especially my new samsung e250 , coolest piece in my hands ! I tried a lot to install applications for it, but it didn't succeed !

However, i started developing pics for my mobile phone , to be used as wallpapers, as i got tired of searching for stuff online ! Today, even though my friends came, i was in a very good mood for developing wallpapers, and did them finally !

We read, inefficiently as it was, sweating in the afternoon power cut , sleeping and stretching .. and managed to wipe out most of CG.
Tomorrow is IS's turn ! Kick its butt !

Today evening, we had a discussion on topics like USPC,CAT, GRE,GMAT etc, and it started a strange desire in me to read for the CAT even now !
I forced myself to sit and do CAT for 1 hour, and i was surprised at myself for the little patience i had !

I
Finally i cam online, started a conversation with Racha racha (nickname) ,and a good chat with "sweety" ( nickname ) , and then started blogging!
While i was about to quit, i met my school friend "aku" ( nickname) after 5 years. I had a small chat with her, remembered i had to finish my blog, and so i am here !

Another great piece of news is that i am going to jog from tomorrow morinng ! First few days on the terrace, next few days to the park, and then cycle trips to the nearby temples early in the morning !

K. Got to sleep ! Bye people ! Nothing much to say today !

Exploring new Vistas ... and the visit to Charminar

0comments
Hi friends.

Adventures are meant to be fun. And we had a great adventure today :D

I slept in my friend's house, after reading a bit of computer graphics till 12.30.
The next morning , when i woke up, it was 2.20 again !
Damn. My biological clock was getting haywire.

I silently sat there, amidst the 5 sleeping people , who were also in a state of semi consciousness.
I started listening songs on Warden's ipod for quite sometime, then heard the audio book from my own phone, and finally sat near the window gazing outside, waiting for the clock to strike 4.

There was much hype about the market, and i prepared myself mentally to enter there for the first time. I walked along with others to the MGBS, just a few min away from my friend's house , with the intention of boarding a bus. We finally had to get into an auto , and we reached there by 4.30 am.

It was deserted, except for the few cloth stalls that lay scattered over there. I were disappointed as we had to wait for another 1 hour. But we decided to roam and explore the city.
The funny part is, we had Charminar in the vicinity, and i had never visited it even once. So we started to walk in that direction, slowly crossing the lanes and roads.

I observed an unusually large number of poor people sleeping outside in the cold, shelter-less and unprotected. Almost on every road, we observed them sprawled on the ground. Then we came to the court road. It was totally deserted , and the place made me feel calm.

I and Bowenpally thop started jogging, and early as it was, it helped in clearing our sleep clogged brains a bit. We did a bit of excercising also, ran ahead , waited for friends who were far behind, and managed to reach Charminar.

It was huge, and though i don't find historical buildings "wow" , Charminar is a very important landmark of Hyderabad. So i stared at it with interest ,had a few biscuits in a nearby cafe, and decided to go shopping !!

We waited for an RTC bus, and managed to get into one. But what happened then ! The bus driver .. demanded 5 rs from each us even though most of us had a pass ! Absolutely shocking for my friends !

I finally reached the place we had been so eager to visit. Though it was nowhere near my imagination, it was still pretty interesting, with all sorts of wares and goods available.

Want to know the funny stuff available there ?

1. Tata Sky dish ( freshly stolen )
2. Cycle seat
3. Pulsar headlights
4. Cycle handle
5. Used rubber balls
6. Childrens tricycle tires
7. Coin operated box
8. Shop Name banner
9. Airtel hoardings
and lots and lots of stuff ...

There were several dedicated clothing stalls, which sold cheap goods at amazingly low prices. To our surprise, there were auctions there too. I personally waited for over half an hour to buy a trimmer ( ha ha.. the barber's gonna cry ). I saw several interesting items, but they were way beyond my budget of 200/-. So I settled for a small key chain and a cover for my mobile phone, apart from that trimmer.

Bowenpally thop bought a webcam at 40/- ( amazingly low) and to all our pleasure, it worked !!
We examined each and every stall there with curiosity, amazed at the diversity of things.

We found mobiles being sold there, at amazingly low prices, and they were just our of our budget range. I made a note to bring extra money the next time i came here.

And there's one other thing i wanted to mention. A dvd player, with features like usb support ( those are the latest features buddy) were distributed at throwaway prices of 800/- to 900/- . I also found several things of interest, but the lack of vitamin M made me back off !
(Now I am fully aware of the place and the goods, and I are sure to go there again in the holidays. )

I came back to my friend's house, sat there to study for sometime, ate, and then got ready for home. We traveled to MGBS, waiting for bus. In the meantime, Warden took some photos of me posing with an RTC bus. We were drinking pineapple juice for quenching our thirst , when my direct bus arrived !

I gulped down huge mouthfuls of juice, faster than i expected, and ran into the bus. It was already full, in the few seconds that delayed me. I purchased a ticket, stood there near a pole, and silently slipped into a nap.
It was after Shankermutt that i woke up , that too ..startled, as the bus lurched forward.

Laughing at myself, i clung to the trimmer and got down at Habsiguda. I walked home, had lunch, and then directly jumped on the bed for a nice slumber.

I slept for nearly 5 hours, woken up by the phone call of a friend, and studied for a while before i lost interest again.
I switched on my PC, switched on the net, and started searching mobile wallpapers.

My friend Warden came home, and we , already in the mood for a nap, opened Computer graphics Text book, completed an amazing 3 units in a record time, and he left at 11.00

Bye for now. I am terribly sleepy even after my afternoon sleep session. Heavy enjoyment. Heavily tired. Its 11.59 pm now.
Good night !

Strange timings ....Strange Travels ..

0comments
hi friends

I have got to blog early today !

Yesterday's effects were too much ! want to know what happened ? i was chatting, browsing and finally blogging till 11.45 pm. I thought of sleeping comfortably till 6, get ready, and go to Begumpet ! But you know what ! I woke up at 2.15 am. I didn't even notice the clock ( this is happening too regularly ), brushed my teeth, and switched on the PC.

It was then i noticed that the time was 2.35 am. I promised myself i would sleep in a few minutes after starting the usual downloads. But it was meant to be broken, not slightly, but utterly and totally.
Guess what! I was browsing for mobile phone soft wares till 4.45 am.

Now my eyes started paining seriously, and i couldn't continue further ! I quietly slipped into my bed and slept soundly. When i woke up, to my total discomfort, the time was 7.50 am. I had promised my friend i would be turning up by 7.30 , but I failed there too .

I called him and told him i would be late, got ready and started for his home. And what did i do in the bus ? I was listening to TWILIGHT audio books that i had previously downloaded ! Ha ha.. in a world of my own ..even when i was being pushed around by the crowd.

Well , i reached his stop, made a few crude guesses ( i had no balance in the phone and i forgot to recharge) , and surprised him by turning up right at his home !

We sat for sometime, then started our NN syllabus, and completed a great deal of the portion !
I had a very nice revision. We studied non-stop till 1.30, when all of us were exhausted and took leave.

I was fortunate again, .. I got a bus to Secunderabad as soon as i reached the stop. I got in, bid my friend farewell, and reached sec-bad. Today my luck was hugging me ..and i got an impossibly rare bus direct to my home.

Came Home. Ate. Started browsing. Tried mobile installation. Gave up. Confirmed the trip to Jumeraat bazaar, and here i am, now blogging.

By the way, i ate chocolate ice cream at 5.30 pm , sent all my buddies messages from the internet, and successfully transferred wallpapers and ring tones into my phone.

I am bidding farewell. I plan to take 200/- of cash. Lets see what that will fetch me there ! :D

P.s : If you read this post till the end, buy me a chocolate :D

Bingo ! More people.. more study !

0comments
Hi friends..

I am back here to disprove my own theories again.
I never thought NN could get completed, or even approach "near completion"

But all the 10 people who had gathered there were in for a big surprise ! We managed to chop off 4 units approximately,

Rewind... back back.. back ..

Time 4.am : Fell down from the bed.

Time 4.30 am: Got ready, started blogging my strange dream.

Time 6.00 am: nearly played for 1 hrs Counter strike online .

Time 8.00 am: Got ready for friends. Tidied the room, laid down a new quilt for comfort.

The rampage began. The arrivals started with : here's the list in the order of arrrivals;

1. Jumper
2. Hali
3. Thop
4. Sudhir
5. Warden
6. Bowenpally
7. chinni
8. Sunil ( <- Bakra its his original name ! )
9. Who knows the name( i guess it must be sandeep)
10.ChocoBoy

So it was a great feeling. having so many people together for studies ! We raced ahead with the portion before lunch ! completed "nearly" 2 units "entirely" ( what a contradiction).

Well , i cooked a dish for all those people who came, ( omlettes actually ) and we had a great homely lunch ! NN and lunch make a really dangerous combination. Got so disinterested that in the next 2 hours, we did practically nothing !

Again by 4pm, the effects were wearing off , and we started reading again.
Read the next unit. pretty easy. and jumped to the next one. But we were already washed out completely, but had the satisfaction that we completed 3 full units and 2 partial units.

Now, an interesting thing happened. a group of monkeys were passing by, and the little ones were making a lot of ruckus ! we sure had a few anxious moments wondering if that thing would come inside !

finally, as everyone was sitting comfortably, we decided to go check out some shops tomorrow night ! To the notorious jumeraat bazaar ! Not to buy things ( as if the thieves would let us go unscathed!)

We just wanted to see a first hand experience of the market, where stolen goods were primarily traded. It was odd timing ( 2 am to 6 am) and a whole lot of distance away. We continued our discussions on the best course of action to take. ( secret stuff !).

now i was all alone, and didn't even bother to open the book ! why ? there was a power cut ! I was eagerly waiting for it to return !

As soon as it came, i started talking with everyone from schoolmates to college mates to present classmates. ( ha ha ..practically everyone online).

I opened my twitter, facebook, digg, orkut, hi5, mydailyflog, etc etc stuff and checked for updates.

And i had long chats about a top secret chain of stories, of which my very good friends ( friend1 and friend2) have a part.

Did you ever realize how painful it must be to write this post late in the night ?
To control myself not to write too much about everything, and leave the right clues for the right persons to find out. !!

If twilight was for real , then i would have been a werewolf for sure ! ( they dont drink blood ..a nd neither do i..)
But i get all my dreams of becoming a vampire ( ..yummy mountain lions ..)

about tomorrow ? well . I have to go to begumpet tomorrow morinng, by 7.30 , study NN there, and come back in 3 hrs.

History repeats itself, atleast during exams !!

Chocoboy's greatest pleasure:

ha ha. my dad brought a choco ice cream in the night ! had a few scoops of it.
My mom had given me a chocolate 2 days ago, which was safely hidden in a dark corner. It was a small dairy milk, but still gave me immense pleasure.

bye for now. good night

Morning surprise ..

Hi friends..

Got a few things to say this early in the morning ! Had a twilight dream again, in which Bella and Edward ask me to make them vampires.
what the hell ! I am blogging immediately because i will forget this again.
Ha ha ha. i was the only vampire there, and they were pleading for immortality ;)

And in a few moments i am going to finish the twilight audio book download. Will listen to it happily :D

And I am gonna play cs online now. Will blog in the evening ! And finally , exams are still getting near !

Study sessions .. Exam time ..

0comments
Hi friends

guess what? exam fever is slowly catching up ! Not that i will ever be affected by it ..( actually i was , till my last semester)

Today , i woke up late, crushing all my beautiful hopes for a CS match online ! Got ready, made a few calls, and i started out for the first time to a new place called Kothapet, all alone !

I reached there, and found myself out of call balance, stranded in the unknown bus stop, without any shops open nearby. Just then, i remembered that I had 2 min vodafone to vodafone free, and called a reliable friend of mine, who helped pass on the message that i was stuck !

I was watching the road opposite to me when i saw a person walking slowly.. so slowly that you would not believe it ! slowly.. slowly... slowly...

Hmm.. and even before the face became clear, i knew that person.. she was my host for today, and i had traveled all the way to study at her home. Her nickname is now " Gopi" ( ha ha..strange and funny for a girl !) ..

we walked down the alleys for 5 min, twisting and turning all the way( actually one right turn and one left turn ).

I was already late with the appointment, and we started reading at 11.30 am. We were enthusiastic, trying hard to complete the difficult units ! We succeeded in finishing 1 unit by lunch time!

Lunch was a different matter altogether ! South Indian sambar , a new variety of pickle, and curd rice... heavy meals. Could go there again just for the food !!

Well. We even had gossip, but not much of the time, and it helped us " cool down from the stress of exams " ..as usual :D

Well, we started reading again, the difficult part this time being problems of CLR,SLR,LALR, Shift reduce parsing and so on.

Ha ha .. They were difficult only until today. I still cant believe myself that i was getting afraid of this silly stuff! got a very clear picture of the subject.

and wait a min. The goodies are not over yet ! i had a big glass of choco 5star bournvita, and two real 5 stars, and even two small snickers !!

Ha ha. lucky day ! chocolates rule ! its really cool !

This alone was productive enough , though we skimmed an additional topic also.
Warden also came, by the way .. and we disproved the superstition that " three people cant do anything productive"

Tomorrow, there's a Neural Networks study session from the morning, with a few delegates from the prestigious scient institute of technology attending it.

Hoping to successfully complete 3 units as usual ! Lets see if it works out .

Sleepless nights

0comments
Hi friends.

It is a matter of a few hours before i start playing CS 1.6 . The night will be long and painful, but it will provide me the well needed rest.

As a matter of fact, i slept yesterday at around 11.30 and woke up in the morning at 2.30 . My biological clock seems to have adjusted to the eerie timings of Twilight .

I tried to read a few units from various books, none of them yielding much success. I had a few friends who came over, and we tried to study .
We ended up cooking a delicious meal ( at least it seemed that way for our starved stomachs) and comfortably chit-chatting.

I hope that when i end this post, i am going to read at least a unit from today's work for revision. I know it is a vain hope, but still, i want to give it a try.

My frustration is building up, exactly like a volcano does before erupting, and this is what propels me into reading dedicatedly for the exams. The sleepless nights, the title of this post is meant to indicate that i am not burning midnight's oil, rather, i am impatient and restless even to sleep.

I have started reading "midnight sun" .., the partial draft of the next sequel of Twilight saga. I had loads of fun today, enjoying a comedy movie on TV , and reading naruto and Bleach on one manga.

How do i spice up my posts ?
Will it be of great help if i start picture blogging ?
Will i have enough time to spare for blogging ?

Stupid questions running through my head. But will it really make any sense once i sleep.. thats precisely what i am going to do now.And you too .. if its late night !

Boring day..

0comments
Hi people.
I was comfortably sleeping in the bed at 10.30 pm now when i remembered that i didn't blog today. Being sluggish and lazy, i managed to get up after 10 mins of dedicated effort , and here i am.

Well, i never had such a long sleep as i had yesterday night( nearly 11 hrs ) .. and I woke up late at 8.30. My mom is on a trip to my village, so nobody bothered to wake me up. As if it mattered !!

I switched on my comp lazily, browsed a few sites, checked my mails, and called my friend "warden" to come home for studies. He turned up at 1, which was far too late by any standards, by which time i had already started reading and almost finished my novels.

I was dozing off when he came, so i got mentally prepared for studies and we opened our books. We had a power cut 15min later ... and that ended most of our plans for the day. The sweltering heat made it impossible for study, coupled with stupid distractions from my brother.

We managed to complete 2 units today. A great achievement for us.
Warden took a break, and i was too distracted to bother. I also went to my cousin's house. I missed reading bleach and naruto on one manga today , but it didn't matter really though ! There were no updates i heard. ( lets verify right now !! :D )

After formulating several new strategies and plans for the next semester, I finally got down to bed.
And back to the first line of this post...

Practically, i never did anything like ASP.Net or Silverlight today, but i did think* of doing them. This is not a post written in my usual spirit, so please doze off along with me !

And one final think. I had a couple of photos of me taken today. You can expect them to be in orkut soon enough ! I think I am going to buy a new handy cam soon. Then i can fill up my pictures blog !

Good night ! sleep tight !

Blog template changed

0comments
Hii people. I wanted to bring some color into my life as well as the readers. So i migrated to a better template.

I haven't updated all the links yet, but you might be happy to know.. I am going to create a friends list soon. Make sure your name gets into it :D

If you feel like reading more stuff, visit my other blog at wordpress. As usual, the name is phanichalla.wordpress.com

King of procrastination, asp enthusiast , and much more

0comments
Hi friends.

My day got off to an early start today when i woke up at 2.15 am.
I hurriedly brushed, switched on my laptop and tried to download the vmware workstation for windows.
In parallel, i started posting on my new blog ( http://phanichalla.wordpress.com )

This one is about my literary activities, about the books i already read, those which i am going to read , and my opinions on them.

Well.. i even tried to play counter strike online, but my ping was worse.. and i got kicked out from every server as soon as the game commenced.

I tried my hand at facebook, Digg, and even tried out adsense. I even nicknamed a friend ( well it was a mutual nicknaming session as usual) ..and her name is "mysterious" .

I read a bit of UNIX today, boring , and sat for most of the time in front of the laptop. I feel the thrill of blogging as i post, without fail, come what may, ( if the internet fails ..dont blame me ..)

I am planning to read seriously, starting from tomorrow. I am the king of procrastination, so it is to be expected.

However, the good thing regarding my mini project is :
1.I got a clear understanding of ASP.net
2. I am developing trial projects

And the bad info about it is :
1. Still have to learn silverlight.
2. Stupid silverlight is not integrating with vs 2008

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And here is my real article, the one which this post is really intended for:

Political corruption , abuse of power ,and Irresponsibility .. these are the three things every commoner needs to be aware of.

Corruption is corrosive, it burns down the layers of resistance of lower officials, especially when their superiors are highly talented in the "art"

Abuse of power relates to the actual misuse of privileges that are vested int the politicians and officials. These are a breach of trust, and they are laced with many layers of corruption at every level, starting right from the personal level.

Irresponsibility is understood to be the ultimate sin, the denial of proper judgment to the needy as well as shoving off the responsibility. This alone can lead to non existent problems and can even forster the other two troubles.

Beware ...o commoner . Do not shun responsibility thinking that you are well hidden and safe in the society. You might be the next victim, and when you really are, the society wont even care a bit about you.

P.S : The intention of this article is not to vent out my political dissatisfaction, but to have a consensus on whether my arguments are correct or not.
If any person has managed to read up to this point, then please comment on what you think of my three points.

Keeping promises, Empowering India, ...

0comments
Hi people.

Here i am, blogging again as i promised..

First thing i did today morning was to get ready and vote for the first time in my life.

I walked half a km from my house to the polling booth, cast my vote and came out very pleased with myself.

There is something inexplicable about voting,.. something strange yet powerful , to let your vote speak for you, to see your opinions competing with the rest of the country ,and the feeling of responsibility.

I am not very interested in politics, but enough to be concerned about the country.
I know of the corruption and malpractices that occur in this society, and also the fact that they have not been eradicated yet.

I dont usually discuss social issues on my blog, but watch for my next post..

what else did i do today ?

1. Played counter strike.
2. searched a lot for ASP.Net related stuff.
3. Slept.
4. Ate chocolate Icecream
5. Read CAT books for sometime
6. Started blogging .

And one more thing, i started blogging in my literary blog ( wordpress) for the first time today... phanichalla.wordpress.com

Had an awful lot of power cuts today. Interrupted me many times, but still i manage to survive :D

Chocolates and twilight and lots of stuff

Hi ppl !
Its been a long time since i blogged. That means i missed a lot of opportunities..right ?

Lots of things have happened the last month.

1.I made lots of friends
( "seriously", "curiously", and lots of people whom i didn't keep nicknames for)
2.I developed a site in Joomla
3.I bought web space for 1 month
4. Actively organized our college fest
5. Read Twilight series and watched the movie
6. Ate lots of home made chocolates
7. Got sick and stayed home for a week
8. screwed up the internal exams badly.. but still managed to get a good score
9. Promised myself yet again that i am going to blog.
10. Bought two new pairs of jeans ( i used to wear only formals till now )
11. Roamed half of the city for sponsors for the fest.
12. Started painting .. tried with the water colors.. learning slowly .
13. visited my facebook, orkut profiles again...

The most interesting experience among all has been Twilight.
I never thought such interest would come again after harry potter or Lord of the rings.. But then...
I read all four of the books in 2 days.. no sleep.. no rest.. so much that my mom made me eat food forcibly ..( i was in no position to leave the book and go to the dining table)

Now i have got exams from 27th, so i should read my engineering subjects. Nobody wants to mess these up !
And as far as chocolates are concerned, i am eating at least one daily, whether it is in the chocolate form or in the ice cream form.

My intuition tells me to stop now.. or else you will lose interest. Bye for now .

Web of life part 1 - opportunities

0comments
Maybe this is not the right place...maybe this is not the right time...maybe ... maybe .. I still have a chance..
What do these words suggest ? For me , they all mean one and the same thing ! " Losing an opportunity ".
There's a quote : "Opportunity is a bald man with a beard. You can catch him coming, but you can't when he's going " , and it really makes sense to me.

I have been needlessly chasing opportunities that are like mirages, leaving the original and important ones lying around. But it is never too late to do anything . I am not suggesting that you grab every opportunity in your way ! Be selective and prioritize your goals. Then you will clearly see the distinction between the opportunities that you wanted to chase and those you are presently having .

What makes an opportunity ? Just a chance to express yourself, a chance to do something, a chance to ... Basically ... it is just a chance where taking the initiative takes much more effort than the actual process involved.

Life is full of chances, and if you think of it, then it really is a part of probability. What the hell am i concluding ? that opportunities are probabilistic and this article is realistic ?

Now I give YOU the OPPORTUNITY to decide it for yourself.. Please add your views n reviews so that i improve my CHANCE !!

new life .. new day ...

i decided, just like a phoenix does, to be reborn again ..but only metaphorically.. I augmented my broken dreams and changing scapes, to compose a clear mental picture of what could be done with,..and without photoshop.

Now that i try to think of it, i can't even contemplate life in its absence.. photoshop is a visual aid to those people whose creativity sucks.. photoshop is a handy tool for entrepreneurs,..photoshop is a boon for connoisseurs, and finally,.. it is just life for people like me !

There's no way i am going to neglect the CAT i have been trying to bell !! I am just adjusting my priorities, and this photoshop thing just rose from insignificance to a position of prominence...
My mother always tells me.. not exactly same words..but they have the same meaning

" Dude ! work hard now! enjoy later !"

I am an orthodox optimist, whatever that may mean to you,. .. and i preferred to look at it in the positive view. I am working overtime in photoshop,.. and enjoying every bit of it. some samples are there in orkut. If u have any photograph you would like to improve, plz send me a copy,. and i will unleash the inquisitiveness within me and experiment with the photograph..
you'll love the results anyway...that i can guarantee !!
Bye for now !

Magic is often interpreted as an illusion to the mind. An illusion, which if carefully observed, can be crystal clear even to a layman.. This is often a misconception.
There exists magic which will cast such a profound influence on you that you will be mesmerized completely into believing what is being performed is absolutely true. Those of you who resolutely refuse to believe me , very well , need to be thoroughly convinced ..and I am not going to do so.

The main intention of this article , and its projected audience is both random. I just wanted to start this with a note of curiosity, so that I myself will start warming up. and Don't start thinking ..
"what the heck .. " just now.. There's still more to come !

My mind constantly cries foul at the indecisiveness I show when I really want to do something. I find interest in every sort of thing, from mundane to the mighty, bearing no priorities and no malice to any field. However, my goal, as I previously mentioned, is to crack the CAT, which is not as hard a task as it seems , seems  to have been waiting for the longest time since my mind started jumping to whatever came in its way. Now I must confess that i have to go and start reading for my CAT ...right now..immediately.

Maybe my next post will contain something intutive or introspective, i cannot guaruntee , but I will surely be posting in the next 24 hrs

Me and this XPS !!

0comments
Hi ppl! today, i had trouble with my laptop as usual ! first i tried booting it in Fedora, but it started out only in the verbose mode ! Then i had to start up my vista and search the net for articles on how to change the verbose mode to xwindows.

After a long search, I found out that changing the initird file in the /etc/ directory would change the it to the gui mode. And what do you expect ? I logged into the verbose mode and tried editing the initird file ! but guess what happened ? I forgot how to operate the vi editor it was total shame for me, a CS Engineer not to properly remember the basic Linux vi commands.

But i was not one to be put off with such a small problem ! i successfully typed help vi, and read all the instructions !! thanks to those ppl!

By the way, I am still at niit ! so dont expect me to sound much coherent , but i am still going to write my third certification exam tomorrow !! Bye ! i've got a class to attend

Ambidextrous

0comments
Hi ppl!
In this world dominated entirely by mortal concerns , it pains me to hear that people are not skilled enough to make use of their own physical capabilities, wasting away their life and fitness in a couch or a comfy chair.

I unwittingly was a part of this society until now, which led me into believing that I was a right hander ! Then what about my poor left hand ? Why was it forced to do only the menial and mundane jobs !

Just because some fool was incapable of doing a job correctly doesn't mean the job cant be done!
In this specific case, the fool here is the world, which has long lost its capability to function normally with both its hand.

This is not only true in the metaphorical sense, but also in reality. The inequality in the human society has drastically increased , and so have the economic rifts.
The very terms "right hand" in the context of a person means that he is a staunch supporter, thereby suggesting the undue importance given to right handedness.

I do wish to reform myself and thus , i will proceed further on the path to ambidexterity !This decision is my own, and I cherish it as deeply as my decision to succeed! I shall resume my endeavors at a later date, and you will find me either in great plight or great delight !

There's another reason for this seemingly strange activity. Ambidexterity promotes the analytical and logical thoughts of the brain, thus easing the life ! So i feel that it must be a great experience to fully use both parts of my tiny brain :-)

P.S : As a beginner's exercise, i typed the entire article with my left hand !!

Day 1 Success ... decisions too

0comments
Hi PPl. The title is obvious.

Progress can only be slowed down, never stopped. It might take a while to start again, but once it is on the path, things rapidly change . I learnt it the hard way.Yet I am happy that I am going in the right path.

It is a decision that leads to pain , pleasure or fame. Not all decisions affect us. Not all decisions are important. But the important thing is that.. you can make decisions whenever you feel like.

You can make them and forget them, you can make them and take them .. you can do all sort of stuff. It is purely your decision. But you need to be considerate in involving others in your decisions.

I have made certain decisions too. . . something which may affect my future.. I have decided that one day, I will establish an organisation of my own. I will work in the better interest of the world.

These are independent decisions, no one can force them, but what I wish to emphasize is that, it you can't decide what you want to do .. if you just wander aimlessly, you will get nothing more than a bit of comfort ... that same comfort which the plants and trees enjoy.

There is a very important role played by conscience in the making of decisions. If you do not involve your conscience, you become an immoral person... a sociopath or a psychopath. You cant decide right or wrong, you cant decide who your allies are, you cant even decide whether you should sleep or not.

Now ..I have decided to take a leave. and hope that I did not impose my own decisions on you ppl

Return of Phani

0comments
Hi PPl. i have returned to this place yet again, but this time, i will not be defeated like I was last time. This time, I have mastered the art of conversation, and will not let you down. It is also a part of my belief that whatever I have been trying to do is in severe conflict with my ambitions and aims.I also realize that communication is the only thing that can make a difference ...in a big way. I wish to convey all my regards .. blah blah blah

The most important thing in this .. I returned to blogging. As I said, if i don't write, I lose familiarity with English. Though I am supressing my enthusiasm, I would not leave an opportunity to write.
so you can see regular updates from my side.

The inconsistency of the world in understanding the feelings of an individual is at its zenith, and the individual's understanding of the world is in a totally a different perspective. The world measures purely in physical terms like money, age, fame etc, but the individual measures it in terms of Friends, help , and kindness.

Contrasting them is impossible, both are truly essential, but when it comes to which is more important, only the wise ones choose to keep their "individual" part front, and the "world or society" part after them..

May your brains ponder as a group , or decipher as an Individual, I do not mind, but It has been a pleasure to revive my writing skills

Hi Friends . I downloaded this theme from the web ,and to me, it looks good.
I have been upto some nasty works of late ... I got a 99.36% in the SIM CAT 4 held by IMS.
I got selected to the debate on non conventional energy resources and their viability in India, to be held at OU.
I have my exams from the 11th of August.
I have to buy a Khadi dress( another stupid rule from the College Management.)
I have started orkutting actively. I am downloading an 18.8 Gb photoshop extreme tutorial.
Hope it completes this week. I also created a new wordpress account, namely ..
phanichalla.wordpress.com

Nothing much going on in life. I have to maintain a firm stance on my views of expression and enjoyment, pertaining to a few incidents that occurred in the recent past.
Firstly, what do you do when a friend of yours borrows your "noise isolating ear buds worth 800" and does not return them after repeated requests... ?
Secondly, what do you do when his "normal earphones", which were originally meant to be used for 1 day, was entrusted to another friend who lost them ?
Also, I am wasting a lot of time nowadays. I do hope to restrict my incompetence.

Phani vs Phobia

0comments
In my childhood, when my schooling started, I lived in the world of Arithmophobia , thinking I was the only person trapped in it. A few years passed, and then I became familiar with Xenophobia. Talking was a sin in my world now, but I still managed it many times. Then I got acquainted with a computer, which infected me with anthropophobia !

It took me several years of my early life to get rid of all of these phobias' , but I have become addicted to old habits though no fear really persists. I have started breaking down barriers around me one by one, but at the same time being careful and wary of unnecessary intrusions.

My friends are numerous, but I have no means of keeping in touch with them constantly. Any effort to reach out to all of them is too cumbersome, not because of laziness or ineptitude, but to to the sheer effort and time it consumes.

I have decided to keep a single place for all my contacts who want to keep in touch with me,
( phanichalla.freeforums.org ), where we discuss common matters. This blog however, is my personal area, governed by none but me.

If you suddenly thought of my phobias', there are some still lurking in dark corners of my heart, but will not trouble us in the near future. So I take leave.

Progress

I , namely Phani Kiran Challa, hereby announce to the world that I will seriously work on improving my skills, rather than spending time uselessly .As the first step, I have started writing mock tests, which me to reality. Though there is no need to be alarmed this early, the fact that I am making mistakes in areas that I previously thought perfect are haunting me.

I have recently taken 2 tests, whose results are yet to come out, which showed how stressing the test can be. The sheer stress of sitting upright for 2.5 hrs itself is very much, apart from the task of solving problems.

This has made me more enthusiastic and confident of the progress made by me. However, there is no consistency in my regular day to day work. I am not being punctual due to a variety of reasons, but that will change from tomorrow. Hope that this excitement continues even tomorrow and ever after.

The best day of the week, according to me, is Friday. This day Bleach and Naruto are released freshly, along with manga. It is also the day preceding Saturday, where I look forward to attend NIIT classes.

Entertainment max

0comments
I have to mention here that I have gone into reclusion, and all has been too smooth for me. I have spent this weekend watching 3 movies !

The first one was ... The Happening. It was a bare movie, with no unexpected twists, only portraying grim death ! The only point which was enjoyable was the lack of direct violence like people killing each other.

The second one was a Telugu film Ready. The print was not so good, but it was satisfactory enough to watch, and sent me into laughter a few times. Not bad at all. And it was a relief from the deaths in The Happening.

The last one and the most interesting one of these was The bridge to Terabithia. Excellent movie.
It was entertaining as well as a good mixture of creativity and emotions. I was glad I saw that movie, and keep it in mind, I do not feel that way about everything.

The last one, which is in the process of completion is The Dead Poets Society. It is said to be a very good movie. Let me see how it is.

I have not taken up the job of a movie reviewer, but I am ashamed( literally) to mention that I have no interesting things going on in life!

Let me see for a moment! We have an exam today, I have to go to IMS tomorrow, my NIIT study is pending, my hard disk is full and I have nothing to store, I am not finding time to learn German, and so on... The list seems endless.!

But what i AM doing right now is trying to become ambidextrous. That's right. Using both my left and right hand(literarily, the entire body) with ease. This seems a little hard in the beginning, but is nothing that can't come with hard work.

=================
I also completed the Bartimaeus Trilogy successfully, and am now reading Septimus Heap.
Calvin & hobbes book one was also completed."The magic of Thinking BIG" is underway

Abstraction

0comments
Who would have guessed that i would not blog for such a long time. Actually, "long time" is just a bit of an understatement. I was busy(not really) the entire week. First, I had to go to Abids and buy College textbooks. Many interesting things happened there.

I and my buddy Karthik used to go to Abids by 9 am every sunday, looking at hundreds of books , searching for the best ones among them, and bargaining strongly for very reasonable prices. All those golden days came back to me last Sunday, when I again set out with my friends, Srinath, and Karthik(of course) to purchase books. We walked all the way from Koti to Abids ( not much of a distance !!). I , curiously ,inspected every book I could see, and that meant trouble for them both. The reason was simple -- every Sunday, thousands of books are dumped on the streets and sold cheaply( once i bought Stephen King books for 5 apiece). All sorts of books are available there! Only a trained and experienced mind can stay calm there( i had 3 years of experience behind my bookshelf )

The rest of it is a long story. In the end, i yielded to the pleading of my buddies to depart for our house. That had a lot of fun and tension in it, but here's the list of books I managed to get my hands on!

1.Bartimaeus Trilogy.. book 1 ... Amulet of Samarkand 30/-
2. MCSE certification .for dummies( I am one for sure ...) 40/-
3. 3D modelling Part 5( I have the earlier parts) 25/-
4.Theory of Computation.. 10/-( really good bargain)
5.My text books for my 3rd year

That was all for the sunday.

On monday, I was happy that my modelling tutorials had been downloaded.I was pleased and started working on them right away! Not much description of them, but you can find all sorts of stuff at www.torrentz.com.

I have to leave for college.. will post soon.
P.S- I completed the amulet of samarkand already.!

I made it !

0comments
Hi ppl! My exam is finally over. The exam , which was scheduled to be at 6 p.m., was delayed by more than an hour, and I was excited to answer it ! It was an online test with 54 bits, each carrying different marks. The duration was for 110 minutes.

I successfully cleared the exam with 85 % marks. I am not particularly happy, but just aware of the fact that this very exam was postponed 4 times in  a period of 6 months , and still i managed to get 85 only.

I will not project myself as a pessimistic individual who constantly keeps nagging about better things. If that had been the case, i would have been whining about missing the opportunity of joining an IIT, and finally pursuing Engineering from Scient Institute of Technology (SIT)

I still have a lot more to work on in this c#, but i think i'll take a break from studies this one  day. I presume  that our classes will start regularly from Monday , and I can try to purchase my textbooks today.

As a sign of my happiness, i am going to increase the content level in my posts, along with the increase in vocab usage. I will post the two paragraphs this evening...(special).
Bye for now

I presume that it is already obvious  what you are going to view is  a verbose clone of something that can be comprehended even by a duffer with a peanut sized brain. It  itself is not as important, but is critical as a prelude to something that may seem incomprehensible.
Concerning the ways and myriads of life, one can barely manage to straighten up his thoughts and walk away unscathed from the world. Why this is a universal truth ? It  lies in the fact that the world has enough to satisfy everyone's need but not everyone's greed. The completely egocentric attitude of the young people today has isolated the world into pockets of culture specific or gender specific or regional communities, where people tend to get stuck their entire life.

Linguistics places even more barriers on the communal and cultural front. Judging by the fact that we have diversity all around us it is difficult to declare or announce that a closer world is possible. I do wish to promote optimism on the global front, but my rational thinking prevent me from jumping to any mundane or morbid conclusions. Hope that my incongruous sequence jeopardized all rational thinking on your part, forcing you to compulsively follow this article with diligence and read till the end. Now call yourself a moron and wait for a few moments to realize that you have been belittled by a post, a mere incomprehensible post that tends to rack your brains and search for your non existent vocabulary. . . Before i finally bid farewell, i hope you remember that this is all the part of my daily learning endeavor, and in no way is foolishly or ostentatiously projected at the audience.
I hope that this audacity is well appreciated and  might even help you later

Hi ppl!
Wondering what that's about ? probably you might have guessed! I have created a forum of my own, where I will be posting some things which are really useful t0 everyone, and which i like the most.
phanichalla.freeforums.org is a personal forum, official forum is tricktrick.freeforums.org
I would like interested people to visit both the sites and register if they like them.

I am preparing for my exam, so I dont have much time to spare. However, i am not going to college.. for the first time this year. I have created a set of id's for the sake of web administration and for registering to online courses. They are as follows...
phanichalla@yahoo.co.in
phanichalla@ymail.com
challa@rocketmail.com

There are a great lot of opportunities for certified professionals in the present industry. I do advice people to find a good institute and join there for certifications. If you are viewing this blog from orkut, please take time and visit the website itself at phanichalla.blogspot.com

The technical news that i learnt in the past three days is meager, but i have suddenly started developing an interest in Economics. It is fascinating, seeming to my eyes as a perfect trade off between risk and profit, between winning and achieving, and manage your accounts efficiently.

Computer networking is the only reason are watching this article, it is also the reason that i am anxiously waiting for someone to stumble upon my blog and become good friends. Such an interesting topic has been downgraded by educational societies into something that is purely theoretical.

My laptop has been my primary area of interest, and i am utilizing it effectively to progress in my career of animation. At present however, i have to drop in to www.niitstudent.com\india
to take mock tests. Bye for now.

Hi ppl! I have my NIIT first module exam on the 28th .. this saturday. We have IT fundamentals &computing,Programming Logic and techniques,C#,GUI through C# for this exam.

I am looking forward to writing it, as it is my first exam there, and also a very easy one. Apart from academics, I have begun to watch Prison Break. Awesome series, and is thrilling too.

I recently bought a p.s./2 to usb connecter and i am using my desktop keyboard and mouse for my laptop. It helps the integrated keyboard last a while longer.

I saw Hancock trailer, and it was cool. Will smith plays a superhero, and he's not a bit decent like the other heroes you think! I applied for my Niit scholarship successfully after one year . Life's too boring, with nearly no friends near my house. I do look forward to making friends, so I am starting to get in touch with all of my friends and classmates whom i ever met till now.

I am currently reading Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. I am also sparing time for activities like playing carroms and chess. About project works, i do plan to submit a lot of them . I have to start developing them yet, but i am sure I can complete them successfully.

PS. My handwriting is detoriating rapidly due to lack of practice. That's why i prefer blogging than maintaining my diary.

The vocab para is right below. Dive in!
Today's morning sky has enthralled me beyond words, so gracious and serene is the atmosphere that it makes me nostalgic .Though it is an exaggeration to assert that there have been better days, it makes no difference to a connosieur of fine arts, or a gourmet with a clean plate, as i like to imbibe the pure air and exult with joy and pride at the serenity of the morning sky. I watch as the world wakes up, stirring the cacophony and bustling of life, with silence and concentration, for i do not wish to interrupt the cycle of life, nor project myself as the kind of person indulging in a pastime that is meant for gods.

Back to college!

0comments
Hi ppl! It is starting again. The 3rd year at college seems great fun. We have Operating Systems, Computer Networking, and OOAD which are very important for a career in the IT industry. It also seems the best time for a certification in Networking from Cisco. I have to start preparation yet, but i don't think it will be too hard.

This year at college will be a bit special, because after this, we will be busy with campus placements and project work. Technically, the last year of study in B Tech.

I have seriously started working on flash too. You may be wondering how many things  i            have got my hands on. 3ds Max, Flash, Japanese, CAT,NIIT, Engineering work, web administration,Certifications, and finally linux.

I dont do them all at once, but slowly and persistently.

I am particularly alarmed that i have to waste my time in those sopoforic classes at college, listening to incompetent people trying to " finish the syllabus" rather than teaching new concepts.

Ever since started writing poetry, I have been feeling a lot better than usual. It calms me more than my oil paintings, because the words can be played with a lot lesser effort than the brush.
I have written 8 poems to date,  1 for children, and the rest on optimism and hope.

I have also started doing speed maths, one of my fav topics since my first year of engineering. It is pure fun with numbers and there are a lot of benefits associated with this one.

Finally, my one paragraph of english comes here...
I have progressed beyond mundane metaphors and  the cacophony and drudgery of daily life, and so i seek embrace in the joy and pleasure of books. Being a bibliomaniac doesn't warrant my saneness, but it will at least , in addition to improving my wisdom, provide an excellent companion that will keep me entertained. We shall part ways now, but I shall , through omniscience , locate you and bid you a farewell though the flying words

Os troubles!

0comments

Hi ppl ! guess what ! I Vista 64 bit edition on my laptop! Not much different, but i upgraded from Home Premium to Ultimate! I even tried installing OSx. I had a session with the bootloader, and successfully created a dual boot menu.
Failure
Vista was installed and the disk was having about 9 gb of free space .I had never tried OS x before and i decided to go for it .It took nearly an hour to install, and finally it came to the booting part, there was no option in the windows boot loader. I had collected some material for the worst case scenario and began reading. And there it was! A nice set of commands to create a new entry in the boot menu ! I was happy enough to do it for maybe an hour. Finally, I saw that one component needed to be there as well ! A file called chain0 was missing. I downloaded it but of no use! I decided to leave it alone for now
.... is the stepping stone for success.
Using it as a windows partition was ultimately a waste, so i decided that i should install debian on it. I proceeded, and when the installation was 70% complete, it showed an installation media failure. I was really a bad day for me ! I removed the disk, opened it in windows, a=made an image with juicesoft bad dvd repair and then burnt it onto another dvd. This time, it did not fail, and the new os loaded successfully. Now i am running a debian -vista dual boot. it is cool, but if debian had grub skins, it would have been better.
Nothing much left to say! i barely studied 2 hours yesterday, and slept most of the day!
I downloaded bleach 175, watched and deleted the episode. I also read bleach -97 online.

Max all the way!
Coming to 3DS Max 2009, i downloaded it from the autodesk website as a 32 bit version. It is too good with its new wheels. I like it. I am feeling comfortable with it now because i have a 256 mb graphics card . Rendering is all done in a sec. Lets see how it finally turns out for me..

Getting warmed up!

0comments
Hi ppl. After a lot of laziness and a 15 hr sleep, i have decided to begin my preparations for study.
As a matter of fact, i wasted my holidays (not all of them, but many...) playing Ghost Recon and AOE on lan.
Lan gaming is a really addicting experience, once you get hooked, there's no going back.

I have my semester exams in NIIT this 28th.
My college starts from the 23rd.
My Cat classes have already started.

All these mean only one thing to me.. more exams .. more study.. more fun..

My NIIT
---------
The course which i am pursuing at NIIT is a "two and a half " year course, attractively named
" Integrated ANIIT for Engineers". There are five Semesters in the course, which covers all the topics from
C# to ado.net,core & advanced java, data structures, sql srvr, testing tools and windows application development.
We have exams at the end of every semester, apart from paper presentations, project work and seminars.
My primary purpose of joining NIIT was vendor certifications. Yes, international certifications from Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Cisco and Red Hat.

About certifications
--------------------
Everyone in the computer field has to understand one fact... the technology keeps changing on a daily basis, and we cant keep track of each and every change. We wont be proficient in any field if we dont update ourselves and prove potential employers that we are well worth it. blah blah blah

Thats what everyone else would say! but not me. I believe in a factor called "self satisfaction". I would like to be a microsoft certified developer, because, apart from looking good on my profile, it also increases the satisfaction of the customer . It would open up a whole new range of possiblities. well. this is my point of view.

Other Interests
---------------,
At present i have started learning Japanese actively. Hopefully I will be bloging in jap in a few months(just kidding). It is a self study from the materials online , but having watched over 500 hrs of japanese , i feel that is is not hard to speak at all. Writing is a different issue altogether. Hoping for the best results.Let's wait and see..

My accessories
---------------
Apart from my Dell XPS, the only other electronic gadgets i own are An LG bullet mobile and a tattered PC (P4
240 gb,1.24 gb ram, 845 motherboard.)
I spend almost all of my time in front of the pc, but i do take breaks to talk. And when i start talking, the conversations extend to a greater part of 30 min when others make a call, and an obscene 30 to 40 sec whenever i call( if it is really urgent :) )
I am not particularly stingy, but only when it comes to mobiles bcos i am too lazy to go and buy a recharge card.
I never purchased a single one till now, and i own my mobile for nearly an year now !

Hi ppl. This is my photo, admittedly a low res, but i could resist posting it. One of the few ones in which i wear spectacles.
I decided to continue my education further rather than directly go for a job.
I am planning to do an MBA right in India, as it will provide me the necessary impetus and confidence to manage people and my performance in a team.
I have no intention in remaining as a mere programmer. I want to be much .much . more..than that. To fulfill my desires, I have decided to write the CAT conducted by the Indian Institutes of management.

I joined in IMS for CAT coaching. The classes are going on smoothly, and i am regularly practicing the work at home. However the level of preparation is not sufficient to get to the top. I write this sentence as a reminder to myself that i should work hard, without postponing my daily piece of study

in order to improve my vocab, as a first step, i am going to translate the above paragraph and embed it with vocab :)

i took guidance of IMS in my effort to project myself as a probable candidate for CAT.The classes are making an inintial progress.I need to reorganize or diversify in order to reach the summit. May this paragraph serve as a reminder, not to procrastinate , but to be competent and regular
