Phani vs Phobia

In my childhood, when my schooling started, I lived in the world of Arithmophobia , thinking I was the only person trapped in it. A few years passed, and then I became familiar with Xenophobia. Talking was a sin in my world now, but I still managed it many times. Then I got acquainted with a computer, which infected me with anthropophobia !

It took me several years of my early life to get rid of all of these phobias' , but I have become addicted to old habits though no fear really persists. I have started breaking down barriers around me one by one, but at the same time being careful and wary of unnecessary intrusions.

My friends are numerous, but I have no means of keeping in touch with them constantly. Any effort to reach out to all of them is too cumbersome, not because of laziness or ineptitude, but to to the sheer effort and time it consumes.

I have decided to keep a single place for all my contacts who want to keep in touch with me,
( phanichalla.freeforums.org ), where we discuss common matters. This blog however, is my personal area, governed by none but me.

If you suddenly thought of my phobias', there are some still lurking in dark corners of my heart, but will not trouble us in the near future. So I take leave.

Progress

I , namely Phani Kiran Challa, hereby announce to the world that I will seriously work on improving my skills, rather than spending time uselessly .As the first step, I have started writing mock tests, which me to reality. Though there is no need to be alarmed this early, the fact that I am making mistakes in areas that I previously thought perfect are haunting me.

I have recently taken 2 tests, whose results are yet to come out, which showed how stressing the test can be. The sheer stress of sitting upright for 2.5 hrs itself is very much, apart from the task of solving problems.

This has made me more enthusiastic and confident of the progress made by me. However, there is no consistency in my regular day to day work. I am not being punctual due to a variety of reasons, but that will change from tomorrow. Hope that this excitement continues even tomorrow and ever after.

The best day of the week, according to me, is Friday. This day Bleach and Naruto are released freshly, along with manga. It is also the day preceding Saturday, where I look forward to attend NIIT classes.

Entertainment max

I have to mention here that I have gone into reclusion, and all has been too smooth for me. I have spent this weekend watching 3 movies !

The first one was ... The Happening. It was a bare movie, with no unexpected twists, only portraying grim death ! The only point which was enjoyable was the lack of direct violence like people killing each other.

The second one was a Telugu film Ready. The print was not so good, but it was satisfactory enough to watch, and sent me into laughter a few times. Not bad at all. And it was a relief from the deaths in The Happening.

The last one and the most interesting one of these was The bridge to Terabithia. Excellent movie.
It was entertaining as well as a good mixture of creativity and emotions. I was glad I saw that movie, and keep it in mind, I do not feel that way about everything.

The last one, which is in the process of completion is The Dead Poets Society. It is said to be a very good movie. Let me see how it is.

I have not taken up the job of a movie reviewer, but I am ashamed( literally) to mention that I have no interesting things going on in life!

Let me see for a moment! We have an exam today, I have to go to IMS tomorrow, my NIIT study is pending, my hard disk is full and I have nothing to store, I am not finding time to learn German, and so on... The list seems endless.!

But what i AM doing right now is trying to become ambidextrous. That's right. Using both my left and right hand(literarily, the entire body) with ease. This seems a little hard in the beginning, but is nothing that can't come with hard work.

I also completed the Bartimaeus Trilogy successfully, and am now reading Septimus Heap.
Calvin & hobbes book one was also completed."The magic of Thinking BIG" is underway

Abstraction

Who would have guessed that i would not blog for such a long time. Actually, "long time" is just a bit of an understatement. I was busy(not really) the entire week. First, I had to go to Abids and buy College textbooks. Many interesting things happened there.

I and my buddy Karthik used to go to Abids by 9 am every sunday, looking at hundreds of books , searching for the best ones among them, and bargaining strongly for very reasonable prices. All those golden days came back to me last Sunday, when I again set out with my friends, Srinath, and Karthik(of course) to purchase books. We walked all the way from Koti to Abids ( not much of a distance !!). I , curiously ,inspected every book I could see, and that meant trouble for them both. The reason was simple -- every Sunday, thousands of books are dumped on the streets and sold cheaply( once i bought Stephen King books for 5 apiece). All sorts of books are available there! Only a trained and experienced mind can stay calm there( i had 3 years of experience behind my bookshelf )

The rest of it is a long story. In the end, i yielded to the pleading of my buddies to depart for our house. That had a lot of fun and tension in it, but here's the list of books I managed to get my hands on!

1.Bartimaeus Trilogy.. book 1 ... Amulet of Samarkand 30/-
2. MCSE certification .for dummies( I am one for sure ...) 40/-
3. 3D modelling Part 5( I have the earlier parts) 25/-
4.Theory of Computation.. 10/-( really good bargain)
5.My text books for my 3rd year

That was all for the sunday.

On monday, I was happy that my modelling tutorials had been downloaded.I was pleased and started working on them right away! Not much description of them, but you can find all sorts of stuff at www.torrentz.com.

I have to leave for college.. will post soon.
P.S- I completed the amulet of samarkand already.!
